  1. this is only the beginning....you helped them out and then they turned on you the americans funded and trained al qaeda/bin ladin and look what happend!!! they turned on you guys. what do you think Hamid Karzai is gonna do in about ten years down the road?
  2. i think boxing is a very effective fighting system. i myself am a full contact kickboxer and i can see the effectivness of boxing. i dont believe in traditional punching, blocks and stances.....you are left too vunerable because you are way too static. sure they deliver shots with alot of power but one shot will never be enough for many people out there. i also train in jiu jitsu as well but i still choose not to fight like that. id rather use my boxing and kickboxing skills and deliver a bunch of shots that have a decent amount of power to eventually wear down my opponant
  3. nah man.....you are really young...you've got plenty of time to train and become a good fighter. i started martial arts when i was 12 in TKD then i moved to kickboxing and jiu jitsu when i was 14....i didnt start competing in open Martial arts tournaments untill the following year and i didnt start full contact kickboxing untill i was 16 going on 17 in the coming months. the fight game is something that takes time, hard work and alot of patience. i dont have all the angles figured about but im on my way......start training and give it time!
  4. I'm gonna have to agree with smith & wesson.. when you see a really good looking girl who has a boyfriend....her boyfriend is usually a piece of crap who treats her like crap.
  5. accidentally roundhoused a guy in his kidney after he tried to put his elbow through my skull.....
  6. i got my first speeding ticket today. i was doing 75 KM per hour in a 60 KM per hour zone. i wasnt pulling a mike schumacher or anything but the cop gave me a break. he told me i shoulda gotten a $150 fine and 4 points on my license but he gave me a $50 fine with zero points on my license so i dont have to fight it in court....i just gotta pay the fine. that is fine by me! its amazing how far a little respect and courtesy towards the officer who pulled you over gets you... just admit that you were wrong and say your "yes sirs/ma'am's" and "thank yous" and you well get back alot in return!!!!
  7. it really depends on the fighter.. but I'd have to say Muay Thai due to the wide range of techniques they can use im gonna start doing some low kick and oriental rules kickboxing soon a guy once told me "muay thai is like two tigers fighting, the loser dies on the spot, the winner crawls away and dies later" very tough sport indeed....i gots a lot of respect to those who fight FULL thai rules!
  8. alot of the weapons that the middle east have are old Soviet tanks, AK- 47's stuff like that
  9. (Explanation for the benefit of non-Canadians: There has been a bit of a flap lately because some Canadian officials, and even a MP has been heard saying unkind things about GW and Americans in general. Mockrie is a Canadian comic and 22 Minutes is a satirical program on CBC TV.) Courtesy of Colin Mockrie from This Hour Has 22 Minutes CBC Television: On behalf of Canadians everywhere I'd like to offer an apology to the United States of America. We haven't been getting along very well recently and for that, I am truly sorry. I'm sorry we called George Bush a moron. He is a moron but, it wasn't nice of us to point it out. If it's any consolation, the fact that he's a moron shouldn't reflect poorly on the people of America. After all it's not like you actually elected him. I'm sorry about our softwood lumber. Just because we have more trees than you doesn't give us the right to sell you lumber that's cheaper and better than your own. I'm sorry we beat you in Olympic hockey. In our defence I guess our excuse would be that our team was much, much, much, much better than yours. I'm sorry we burnt down your white house during the war of 1812. I notice you've rebuilt it! It's Very Nice. I'm sorry about your beer. I know we had nothing to do with your beer but, we Feel your Pain. I'm sorry about our waffling on Iraq. I mean, when you're going up against a crazed dictator, you wanna have your friends by your side. I realize it took more than two years before you guys pitched in against Hitler, but that was different. Everyone knew he had weapons. And finally on behalf of all Canadians, I'm sorry that we're constantly apologizing for things in a passive-aggressive way which is really a thinly-veiled criticism. I sincerely hope that you're not upset over this. We've seen what you do to countries you get upset with. Thank you.
  10. our tax dollars are better spent on health care and education so we can have healthy educated people who dont go around thinking they can dictate the rest of the worlds personal business........ "I'd like to have a say on the income tax, don't wanna help build bombs and thats the fact" - The Beastie Boys
  11. nope, people in Canada are not allowed to bear arms. we are allowed to have firearms such as rifles and shotguns but the controls on them are quite strict. when you store it at home it must be taken apart and the ammo must be locked away seperately away from the firearm. pistols are a different story. there are extremely strict controls on pistols. for example if you wanna go to the range to shoot your pistol you must call up your gun club and tell them the route you are taking to get to the range while you are carrying your pistol in your car. if you are caught in an area outside that route with the pistol you are screwed. i am all for gun control. the only people who should be carrying them are law enforcement officials and military personelle. another thing, Mr. Chris Rock made a wise statement once "any punk can stand across the street and shoot you, but it takes a man to walk up to him and stab him"
  12. personally i can fight a boxer since im a kickboxer.....so i know how to punch too....so i can do it
  13. i hate people who are on their cell phones while they are driving then automattically switch lanes without signalling or anything. i hope they crash and burn one day!
  14. who gives a damn about who owns the oil fields in Iraq? they are there and Bush wants to get his hands on them. yeah i do know that a majority of the oil fields are owned by france and you get alot of your oil from places other than Iraq but those sources are running low and Bush is looking for a new place to get oil. it doesnt matter if france owns those oil wells anyway......they refused to help Bush out in the war so now when Bush gets control of Iraq he isnt gonna give a F*ck who owns them....he is just gonna waltz right in and take em'! by the way can i get some french fries......opps I'm sorry Freedom Fries with my burger?
  15. crash, how is Iraq threatening your freedom? they are not the ones sending gun ships to your shore lines and flying attack aircraft over your skies. this war isnt about terrorism or the freeing the Iraqi people. Its about oil! Quite frankly I believe that the U.S. has absolutely no right to be in Iraq without the permission of the UN. It strikes me as odd that there is un-deniable proof that Korea has weapons of mass destruction that could it the USA, yet you didnt invade them. Why? because they have no natural resources for the american government to get their hands on. Yet upon a search of chemical and biological weapons in Iraq revealed nothing you attacked them anyway because they have OIL! tice that the gas prices went down the very day the 48 hours was given to Iraq? Saddam is a brutal dictator but you know what that doesnt give you the right to go in their and start bombing innocent women and children. I am glad the Prime Minister Chretien refused to help the US in the war effort because I dont want my tax dollars paying for bombs to kill babies overseas. say what you want about me, but this war is just about Bush serving is precious need to get his gun off!
  16. personally i think this whole war is BS!
  17. CANADA!
  18. im taking police foundations in college right now. i am a competitiive kickboxer and i train in jiu jitsu as well. the take downs and joint manipulations, chokes and grappling techniques i know will come in pretty handy! i also know disarming techniques but i need alot more practice at that stuff.
  19. the "90% of fights end up on the ground theory" has been backed up with alot of concrete evidence. just ask the Gracies......they got alot of concrete evidence!
  20. i dont like fighting outside of the ring or the dojo......plus i dont wanna fight because i dont wanna have to embarress the guy messing with me... im a nice guy i dont want to have to hurt anybody but i will if i have to
  21. mike miles cranks out alot of good fighters. trevor "tnt" smandych and sokim "the machine" Or to name a few.
  22. there are alot of girls in the kickboxing program at the dojo i train at. not many in the jiu jitsu program though. the women like the cardio kickboxing class and the skills and drills class. but when we are done with that and its time for sparring the girls quickly dispurse except for a couple.
  23. point fighting is good to help people train in their speed and reflexes however, when a seasoned point fighter goes into a kickboxing match they usually kick or punch and then stand their and admire what they had just acomplished and then take a bunch of hits from their opponant....personally im not a big fan of point fighting....i do think it is quite boring to watch and after watching many point fights i hardly believe that tapping a guy with a back fist or a roundhouse is a real definite hit..... alot of the guys i fight with now come from a point sparring background and i have seen the hurdles that they had to have jump just to get rid of the bad habits such as stopping after scoring a punch or a kick or not being able to recover after a kick to throw punches that have and real solidity to them. in response to bjjbarbie there are many clubs in canada that only specialize in point sparring in their karate programs. alot of these fighters are very good at what they do - they are excellent kickers however in a kickboxing match or the street you are not gonna be able to chase somebody over a distance of about 5 meters with a rep kick....
