  2. i know this and have been in denial..thinking i could eat anything i want and then ill just work out extra hard....(im a cereal junkie..i can go through a whole box of captain crunch in one sitting)i did join a diets website last week ill see how it works out...or i could just go on the "bat" diet..you havent heard of this one ?well the concept is you have a friend tap you in the mouth with a baseball bat then they will have to wire your jaw shut for a couple of months..you cant eat so you drop the pounds!!!
  3. one of our trademark kicks is also my favorite..the ax kick..i love landing this on peoples heads (incoming!!!baloom!!)
  4. chagi time!! ap chagi(front kick) yup chagi(side kick)tolyo chagi(roundhouse) dwi chagi (back kick) hweedo ligi (inside/outside) and ill have an order of kim chi (pickled spicy cabbage..water please its very hot and very good)
  5. a good way to an early grave..even if its in the local health store does not mean its safe..you have to do alot of research on anything you put into your body,,especialy if your taking any meds you could have dangerous interactions...steroids are not only unnatual and illegal but can cuase many complications including a tko by the grim reaper..stay far away from that ..besides that again do your homework on whats out there as far as supplements go..you will also find that a lot of products do absolutely nothing..
  6. good subject being the fact that the average person may only spend 10-15 minutes warming up..it is much better to warm up much longer..it prepares your body for a vigorus workout and streching and warming those muscles up wil prevent you from tearing them out...which will result in time lossed training....after your workout you should also warm down..relax slow strecthing...the benifits of both are very important...
  7. well its the quality not the quantity that counts....how about the 720 degree kick ...now youre spinning twice around in the air..its like a human tornado..this is one that i am still trying to perfect..theres a video feed of the north korean demo team at taekwon.net..these guys are worth checking out
  8. ken i appreciate your effort..when you publish your first book let me know..ill be there for the signing
  9. humble my foot you know you the man..lol
  10. yeah rush its called a sissorkick wher you run and jump and do a flyingside kick with one leg and an outside twist kick with the other then before landing you execute a front kick before landing..i do this for demos..some of the korean tiger team members can do five or six kicks in the air before landing they are the "michael jordans" of taekwon do..much hang time.....
  11. okay allrightee then
  12. while the kukkiwon is the "governing body of taekwondo" i have seen too many instructors qualified or endorsed by the kukkiwon that are defintely farces for me to question do they know what is going on? or are they just willing to take the fees (for promotion and such) without proper certification or validation of its members...i myself am certified by the kukiwon..but i also know of many instructors who are so certified who shoudnt even be teaching how to croos a street properly..it doesnt make me feel all that proud or privligaged to have that diploma hanging on my wall..i just let my character and action speak for myself..that speaks more than a thousand words that can be fitted on any diploma....
  13. ive never been one to sugar coat or be pollitaclly correct...you have been to shaolin like i have been in the last space shuttle mission..please do not insult our intelligence with your streeeeeeeched out imagination..who did you train with while there? mabye cain from kung fu..did you learn to pick the pebble from his palm??you make me laugh..and i speak out loud for those of us here who choose to be polite..i have two words for you..cow manure..big heaping stinking piles...pleeasee!!!!
  14. o.k. this is a taekwondo forum and nobdy has any feedback on kicking techniques? its like going to bible study and then reading newspaper clipings instead of the bible whats up people?
  15. we have alot of time on our hands do we?
  16. i believe our martial arts have been diluted enough..and americanized to the point that they are but a shadow of its true essence...we have a responsibility to try to preserve what little tradition is left...in my class i insist that korean terminoligy and custom be observed and i also prefer the chan hung forms these not only look and feel better but they are closer to the roots of taekwondo..i believe the taeguek forms have been adapted more for competition than for combat but anyway i think we should move this disscussion to "korean stylist" finally does anyone think that martial arts have become too americanized..think of the mcdojang syndrome...
  17. whats your favorite kick and how have you developed it to be effective in combat (not just scoring in tournaments) and also what hsa been the most impressive kicking display witnessed?? i.e. flying triple kick...spilt kick with flying front kick (three kicks in the air)before landing..
  18. you people act immature and disrespectful..you want to talk like this join a site like modern mercinary or "guns and ammo".you know this site is for martial artist yet you act like common thugs please you bore me... and you bring low class to this site..
  19. wasnt "no retreat no surrender"van dammes first piemere???
  20. thank you guys for backing up my first point..who has time to do 200 reps of anything in the first place its not sane and its not proper training.....form first reps later..lower reps with proper from beats high reps any day besides when training for agility you dont want too much muscle mass anyway..how would you like to look like some of these guys who cant even comb thier hair because thier biceps get in the way???
  21. good call rush im right behind ya!!!
  22. SHIJAK!!!and go foward lets break everything that comes our way.....
  23. thank you sir...please keep us updated on any thing you hear...meanwhile i guess ill watch something exciting like the flyfishing channel..lol
  24. mr trimble..nice to meet you sir..i was just wondering what youre opinion is about the lack of television coverage of martial arts more specifcally a channel devoted itself soley for martial artist (please see "taekwon tv " posting) why do you think something like this hasnt come about and what do you think must happen for it to become a reality?
  25. 200 curls?? if you can do 200 curls then you next sparring match i hope your opponent is carrying krytonite..you dont need to go to extremes its better to do 3 sets of ten of an excercise in perfect form then to do 1000 sloppy..forced..and dangerous techqniuqes all in the name of being an ultimate fighting machine...
