we have five members testing for black belt today and they are all ready>>i mean ready..these belt are not being given to them today..they worked hard and deserve them and thats the way it should be...i am now a part of this new dojang becuase my master recently moved to florida..the dojang is WORLD TAEKWONDO in central islip new york..run by master portfillio alveraz a long time friend of the american taekwon do family(our old dojang) alot of my family are now training here who came over from american taekwondo center..good luck to all today and next week to conneticut for the US CUP competition were we will try to take the gold in all divisions..we have a tough team this year pil sung!!!!

this is one of the main issues of the airport?SECURITY problems we have not only ay our airports or anywhere else>>> we want secirity and police protection but we dont want to pay>>i remember taking a flight last month to flotrida and having a sixteen year old kid asking me if i packed my own bag and not even looking me in the eye as i said yes>>that was it the extent of his interorgation of a potential threat to the flight i was taking>>>i didnt think of it then as it was before the tragedy>>>but i remember thinking at that time wow what if i had a bomb? WHAT KIND OF SECURITY IS THAT..the only thing i was concerned about at that time was ..i hope the piolt is not a drunk or i hope nothing mechanical is wrong with the plane.....never thought of anyone trying to take the plane(terroist)..now i think how easy is it to take a plane if that was on my mind..you got all of these "security personal" who dont give a sh@#T only because they are paid minimum wage..i guess i wouldnt either...so what my point is ..instead of worrying about the next anthrax syndrome..we need to take a good hard look at our security and our assumtion that everything is okay and start paying more..including our fireman and policeman who dont get paid enough for there risk takin on the job...we want everything cheap and fast..but we dont want to pay for it..starting at the airlines and every other form of "SECURITY" in this country we need to make sure that these individuals are paid correctly for thier efforts..or were just waiting for the next incident to make headline news..

cumputer art is cool..but i like the traditional hands on art..altough computers can create so cool stuff..they cannot give that live texture that enhance art..i pretty much can jump from medium to medium

it is common for people to assume that taekwon do is all kicks becuase that is usally all they are exposed to...they see competitions where oppoents bounce around the ring and occasionally throw one or two kicks or a kicking combination...and thats it (what ?thats it? this style is stupid..they use no hands..no taekdowns no grappling..e.t.c.)although taekwondo is the worlds most popular martial art..the true art is rarely seen on tv or the local tournement...which leads people to believe thats what taekwondo is all about..we use plenty of hands..throws ..locks the "olympic style" matches are the tip of the iceberg and do not represent the true essence of taekwondo

okay you must be in the barren regions of canada to not have heard of 2 pac..he was one of the most successful rappers....

oh okay..well tournaments usally have so many restrictions of techniques..that almost all hapkido tatics would be illegal

hapkido being a korean /japanese hybird the japanese side being akido/jujitsu style combined with tae kyun kicking,,alot of the current taekwon do kicking styles..the korean side,,makes it a most effective martial art style..a combination of the best of grappling..joint locks and takedowns with the superior kicking techniques of taekwondo..a very good combination for actual combat....just reiterating the common disinformation that korean style only encompasses modern sport taekwondo the sport aspect that is only a small portion that the public is exposed to

it would be a bad idea to start having hapkido tournaments...it would go by way of modern sport taekwondo...too many rules..too many politics..the reason i enjoy hapkido is because of its practicality and its effectivness in combat...this should only remain as training for actual self defense
