Google as well. Though it seems like a waste, as I have that google tag in the bar at the top, but I never, ever use it.

Is anyone doing any home improvement projects?
A_Train replied to bushido_man96's topic in General Chat
Having just bought a homethis year , I have a lot to do. The priorities are a chainlink fence for the backyard, so I can let the dogs run loose, a bigger patio, and installing a woodstove by next winter. Longer terms include a home theatre in the basement, doorstairs bathroom and bedroom, and whatever else fits! -
I got to see NOFX over the summer, which was like a dream come true, having been a fan for over 10 years. We dont get a lot of concerts in my part of the country, but my other favorits that Ive seen would include Neil Young and Green Day. Well, thats about it.

I dont need a calculator alot for my job, but when I do, I just use the on on my pc. It seems a bit cubersome though. I think the numbers on the keypad go backwards to a regualr calculatr, dont they? Or maybe they are just backwards to a phone.

I havent read any of the teasers, I try to aoid them until the book comes out. As for the assasination attempt, I am pretty sure Ser Jorah was warned by Varys that Dany was to be poisened. They were at the dock side, when Jorah received his letter, and then immediatly stopped Dany from tasting the wine from the assasin. As for keeping Petyr on a leash I think he doesnt do that because he is unable to. Petyr is Varys' counterpart, and rival. The both had their own arrangement of spies and informers. As for the death of Drogo fitting into the plans, I think that was a wrench in the plans. I also believe Varys contact with Dany come mostly from Illyrio and Jorah, and now he has neither of those contacts, so it will be inetersting to see her reaction to him.

Mine are similar to yours Patrick, on a day to day basis I love having pizza at least once a week. Its my true weakness. However my favorite 'treat' food that I dont get my hands on so often is Lobster and Snow Crab. Mmmm, I love pretty much any seafood item, but those two are incredible.

It sure was! It most certainly was. This makes a very interesting statement about the intentions of Varys. When he was questioned by Eddard about his loyalty, he stated that he 'serves the realm'. But if he is working with Illyrio, and I believe at this point they were talking about trying to force the Seven Kingdoms into war so they would be unprepared for the return of royalty. It would seem as though Varys has actually been sabotaging the realm, and Roberts/Joffrey's reigns specifically to set up for the return of Targaryeans. It should be intersesting to see what role he plays when Danaerys makes an appearence.

If worms warfare is anything like the old worms games, it will be entertainign to both kids and adults as well. For now, my son is satisfied with his plain old Gameboy SP, which is easier on the bank account. If I had to choose between DS and PSP, I would definatly buy the DS for a child, but PSP maye have more adult orientated games.

I was just too confused to respond to the cryptic message.

Yeah that one took me a second read through to catch. He appears again, and has a rather distinct appearence. Once you realize who he is, it offers a rather revealing change into the intentions of Varys.

Its worht it, there are so many things you dont notice on the first (or second or third) run through.

Yeah, two years ago I was sure that I would get a PS3. But in the past 2 yeas, my video game time has dropped to almost nothing. Since I dont play it that much, I certainly cant justify paying that much for it. I will probably get a ps3 after the first price drop, providing there are at least a few games that appeal to me.

Yeah there was somethign not right with the kid. If you lok back the his first chapter, and the last person the kid talks to, (this is a person from a previous novel) it may make sense.

Ahh, did you notice who was with the Archmaester at the time?

Usually its called pop, around here

I started a thread specifically for chat on the novels. http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=29785

So as to no longer take over other threads with discussion or this book series, I gave it its own thread. Jaime becomes very easy to like later in the novels, although I do my best to remember his actions from earlier in the novel. I agree with yoru prediction of Jon and Danaerys eventually meeting up, though I dont think that will happen until the 6th book. I think Tyrion will meet up with her first now that he has left the mainland. But like you, my predicions are usually wrong. (My first being that I predicted that Jon and Robb would eventually fight as leaders of two different armies, Jon I suspected would eventaully become a wildling after joining them, and I suspected Robb would be King of the North, if not all of the Realm). I was rather disappoitned with Book 4. Do you have any thoughts on this one?

Yeah, I can't wait for the last one as well. It has been a while since I have read the others, so I may have to start up again. There is so much trickery and betrayal, and the author just does things that you do not expect. My favorite character was Eddard Stark, but he didn't last long. I was hacked about that. Now, though, I'd have to say my favorite is Jon Snow, and he was left out of the last book for the most part, and is supposed to be a focal character in the last book. It seems to me that there are a lot of ends to tie up, and I would think that this book is either going to be really thick, or he may need one more to get it done. Yes Eddard was one of my favorite characters as well, I thought he was going to turn out to be the main character, how wrong I was. I think Tyrion is probably my overall favorite though. As of know it is planned to be at least 3 more books. The forthcoming novel is really just the second half of the fourth book, therefore books four and five can be looked at as one book just sold as two seperate ones. And if he sticks to schedule, he plans a total of 7 (Of c ourse the author has admitted he planned it as a trilogy)

My question would be: what are those fest simple best practices that you made note of?

I see movies quite frequently, the last oen being Deja Vu, which was ok. I also saw Borat, and found it still made me laugh several times, although it was not nearly as good as I had hoped. I wouldnt feel too bad for Pamela though, she is an actress, and those seens were not real. Apparenlty she is friends with the Borat actor.

Bushidoman, when I first saw you post that you liked medevil and fantasy books I was going to sugest the Song of Ice and Fire series, but I see you've already read it. These books are by far my favorite books that I've ever read, and I can read them over and over and over. I simply cannot wait for the next one to be released, and it drives me crazy, hah ha. If you ever want to discuss it start up a thread, and if you don't I probably will, hah. As for what I'm reading now, is a series of books called "The Shadows of the Conclave", I think.. Its a trilogy written by Rayond E Feist, that includes many characters from his other works. Its a poor substitute for A Song of Ice and Fire, but its ok.
