  1. Im pretty sure Chuck Norris came on his website a few months ago when all those 'Chuck Norris facts' lists were going around a few months ago. At that point he admitted he wasnt much of an internet or computer guy.
  2. Never shaved any body part. I think hairless legs on guys looks weird. I get the back waxed professionally once in a while, cause it grew in and I dont like it. Azula, what did you get that worked permenantly?
  3. I would say not to worry, and don't rush it. You know you are qualifeid for the blackbelt, so passing the test is just a matter of semantics at this point. You will get it, don't stress it.
  4. Why is there so much focus on monetary constraints? Do you pay for each attended class individual? For my school, I pay for the month and can attend a class everyday if I like. Im not very experienced with schools, so I assumed this was the norm.
  5. Wow, I shouldnt have been worried about being too old. Turns out I was the youngest 'new' adult in the class. And a 5th Dan instructor told me he didnt start until he was 25. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to learn more.
  6. Name: Adam Titles: Haha, none. Height : 178 cm Weight: 82.5 kilo Style: umm, it will be ITF Taekwondo as of Monday. Favorite Technique: Umm, non just yet, hah. Im such a noob, I know.
  7. Thanks for the encouragement. I think I will be signing up in a few weeks (the beginner adult classes fall on the same nights as my dog obedience course, which has 6 more weeks). I'll try to be involved in the forum here (though surely wont have much to add other than my own progress for a while). Thanks!
  8. Hi there, I am interested in starting some martial arts training, most likely in TKD. My question to you as a forum would be, what age is too old to start getting into this? Or, what age did most of you get into this (I'm hoping to find at least a few who succeeded without starting until their mid to late 20s). Most people I know that are into MA got into it in their teens or preteens. I however floated more towards the slacker/grunger style and learned to play guitar instead. While I still enjoy guitar, i am kinda wishing I had gotten into a MA as well. Right now I am looking into a ITF TKD school for my son ( and was thinking of signing up myself. Its not really for self defense or with the desire of competition but just to keep fit and occupy my time. Self defense would be a benifit that came along with it, I suppose. Though I doubt competition would be something I would want to get into at this age, so far behind those who started younger. So do you think that at 27 I am too old to bother? Do people who begin training at this age, ever catch up to people who have been doing it since their teens? Thanks a lot.
