The use and breakdown of the Kwan Sao and Gaun Sao techniques,and my own special way I use the Kwan Sao to control the full length of the opponents arm. sorry for the later reply.My internet went down for a few weeks.. You start within the first month of training depending on how fast you pick up the basics. That's cool. I'm of the opinion that applications training should start very early in training, and continue to be refined from then on.I agree also. I teach applications early on. As soon as you can perform the physical movement the student should know what it means and how to use it. I have 3 levels of applications for each movements 1st level is the simplest to understand and perform, 2nd level is a little more difficult because its based off your opponets counter,and the 3rd level is an advance level so the student at this level has a good understand of the art and has the ability to modifie it to fix the situation.
