  1. Why am I not surprised KarateK?
  2. We use it at the end of all our classes "Domo arigato gozaimashita"
  3. Drop into box splits and strike with a right uppercut as if to the groin
  4. Tut! tut! Arigato = Thank You (Domo arigato = Thank you very much) I can't believe you've never heard that one!
  5. Welcome to the forums!
  6. Welcome back vertigo
  7. Sounds a bit like controlling behaviour to me mixed in with a bit of healthy paranoia. After 13 years you'd think that the GM would know how loyal one of his students is. It's a case of practicality, if there's no class available in her current style then finding the closest thing possible is the next best thing.
  8. Or just continuously say "hai" and "lie" or "arigato"
  9. That's great! Hadn't thought about it being done that way!
  10. https://www.stickdeath.com This site is the best ever! Pure carnage!!!
  11. https://www.miniclip.com Great if you're bored at work and have 5 minutes to spare
  12. Oh yeah, my Japanese terminology in martial arts is pretty good too. As for having a conversation? I wouldn't last 10 seconds!
  13. Did you see the episode on Johnny Knoxville (can't say the show's name, the censor won't let me) when Steve-O had his chest, nipples, legs, bikini line, armpits and eyebrows waxed? OMG that looked so painful! I'd never do that!
  14. I'm fluent in 2 languages, English and Essex English! I used to be fluent in French and Creole (I'm half Mauritian/half English) but through lack of practice over the years I've lost a lot of it. I can generally understand people when they are speaking but I have very basic conversational skills. Funnily enough, I'm quite fluent once I've had a few drinks in me! Christmas last year my mum and I had an intense discussion with both of us speaking in French and we were both drunk as hell! I'm going to start taking lessons again next year when I have a bit more money.
  15. Bruce Willis is a good actor. I really enjoy watching his films. He's a proper bloke, not a pansy pretty boy like lots of other actors out there these days. He's a rare breed.
  16. A bit is okay, but when you get the mass amounts that I do it gets a bit ridiculous so trimming is a necessity. Also, it hurts like hell if hair gets grabbed and pulled during kumite!
