don't worry about what he says. he is just a dumb kid...

oh, back to the super power thing i've changed my mind. i think i would like super patience...

well, there were equal amounts of matter and anti-matter. it's just that over time matter got the advantage. y'know, 1000 vs 1001

amazing

what i was trying to say is that don't you think that with all that agility and flexibility and speed, a lot of wushu guys have an excellent base to learn how to fight. after all, they already have conditioned bodies. that's already half the work done. -
Ever had to use your MA in a real sreet fight

read his other posts. it doesn't paint a very good picture. apparently, he is a guy who trains in martial arts with his friends in their front yard and he makes experimental weapons in his spare time. i'll let you decide on his credibility. -
ten million dollars for making one antimatter particle... that is for one particle. how much would it cost to manufacture and store enough to make a weapon? and you DO need it to be isolated because other wise things like gravity fluctuations and external magnetic/electric fields would mess up your tokamak fields. and as for the teleporting matter. to teleport anything you need to know two things, it's everyday state and it's quantum state. the normal state is easy but you cannot measure it's quantum state without altering it. therefore you cannot record accurate enough data to teleport anything. so far they have only been able to "teleport" a single proton but only by using spooky connections and epr pairs. and you develop experimental weapons? in your back yard? what has making toys in your garden got to do with quantum+nuclear physics? anyway, i have said all i can say about anti-matter. this tires me because it is now clear i am trying to reason with someone who has no real knowldege of this subject.

if you do a little bit of research you will see that jackie has trained with a lot of the "superstar" martial artists in the past... and you keep gong on about how he isn't flexible. on what do you base this remark? sounds like you just like to see fancy high flying spins and kicks. if that's what you want, go download a few wushu vids...

oh, by the way, i've changed my name the one you know as "from the ground up" is now the DRUNKEN MONKEY

kids will be kids. i guess that i get for trying to talk to him like an adult. -
i think i can safely say that a real fight will look like nothing you see in films. there's a thread in the entertainment bit here. have a look.
-
then say that in the first place. just don't use games or films as the basis of an argument. it leaves you open to attack from people like me... and take it easy, just messing with ya. after all, i got to live up to being on your arch rival list!

well, to be honest, i'm just some dumb chinese guy so i know more about the tragic chinese thing... but the japanese stories interest me. any sources i can read? -
how can a SCRIPTED fight scene be real?
-
they don't make an educated guess. they take as many of the cars as possible and run them on the road. then they take the records and re-model the physics for them into the game. and about tekken. i wasn't saying that the moves cannot be done (look at what the zero gravity guys do....). i'm just saying that the game is a poor representation of fighting/sparring and as such cannot be taken to be real. therefore it is a bad example to cite when we are talknig about real martial arts.

what? is that supposed to make sense? -
but you are a kid... and why no response this time?
-
yes but those moves are done in isolation. just because they are done in the game does not mean that they can be done against a live opponent. back to my gt3 example. the car physics are modelled very closely on the real cars as well. doesn't mean that i can do the things i can in the game in a real car.
-
not a very good one. it's a game. it would be me saying that i can hold opposite lock in a 600hp skyline and know how to do a rear wheel flick in a rally car because i can do it in gt3. means nothing in the real world.
-
no. just think that it's a bit sad that some kid believes what he sees in films and games.
