and don't step backwards if at all possible. if you do, your opponant will just step in to you and keep pushing you back. get used to shifting to your side or to pivot. and most importantly, relax. keep it light until until you are comfortable with the close distances. get used to moving about lightly, then build up power as you get used to the situation. -
i think their failure was in not preparing for the fight. it keeps coming down to training. all of the arguments result in a comment that relates to the amount of training. i have always said that the answer to every situation is in how you train. it doesn't matter what style you do, whether it's modern, traditional, mixed, how effective you are depends on your training. you could be one who practices a mixed style but if you don't do the sparring, you will lose to a traditional fighter. conversely, if you are a trad fighter, if you don't train for the situaion you will losa against the mixed martial artist. it is all about preparation. like i said in another post: failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

yeah, i know. i'm not really one to say that any style is better and i DON'T believe that there is one ultimate style. my problem with this type of debate is that a lot of people say ring styles are better than trad styles which i don't agree with. it's like people comparing cars purely on the basis of the numbers (o-60, bhp, max speed etc etc)

and a good firewall helps too can't remember the site but there are some that will attempt a probe on your pc to check it's security. it will then report to you what happened and suggest actions, if needed. like always, google about.

remember. microsoft does not and never will send updates as attachments. if you ever get any e-mail that tells you to download an attachment, delete it as soon as possible.

y'know, the one thing that always puzzled me is the immortal/invincible/indestructable thing. what on earth would you do when everyone was dead? apart from be bored out of your head... or what if someone somehow removed your immortal head and buried it in a mountain or cememted into a bridge?

the problem with the svengali is that they are really noticable for anything other than the fifty odd tricks with them (which are all based on the same thing anyway...) the easiest and often the best (even when completely drunk) is a top force. or a half cut force. the other option is to just use a key but a lot of people know this. what you have to remember is that there are only a few ways to start a trick. the skill comes in how to finish the trick. if you can master a few basics to perfection (palming, double/triple lift, bottom deal) you can have fun with how to reveal the card to them.
