nope not close Vietnam was a war you could only win by killing everyone. Because you never knew who to trust. BTW our Armed Forces never lost a major battle in Vietnam. Evan the Great Tet Offensive that caught us by suprise. In 2 weeks we had retaken all ground lost. The problem with Vietnam was we never full commited to the war. I don't mean kill everyone but the goverment never fully supported it, protests never let us support it, alos the country was deeply split over race, and other issues. Add to that the deaths of many leaders such as MLKJ, RFK, and the distrust of LBJ and Nixon. Just a bad time. Being a History teacher I will never say we lost the War in Vietnam. Because that would be wrong to tell the vets that. Because they never lost anything. We did not win the Conflict because protesters would not allow our gov. to fully comit to the action we needed.

I don't know I may be a good teacher LOL but my girls in class reguardless if they are 10 or 50 tend to pick up on sparring quicker than the guys do. LOL. Now I prob. teach it a bid differant in that I always work with them and tell them to make contact with me. I guess they have a since of trust that I won't hurt them and they can open up and unload on me. We sparred Thursday night and I only worked with 2 girls and 1 guy. Im beat to death LOL. Just from my findings girls like to hit guys. So if you can take the contact it tends to make them agressive.

Again not perfect. We backed Iraq because Iran was the worse of the 2 evils at the time. Just like we sided with the USSR in WWII to beat the Germans. As far as Latin America goes they are a mess. Yeah we have backed some scum but in order to protect the people at that time. O. Norith and President Regan may have borke US rules but trading outdated weapons for peoples lives and helping support and anti communist movement is ok in my book. Again were not perfect and far from saint hood but show me someone else with a better track reccord.

America is not perfect but we are pretty close to being there. We are the only country that in all reality can be trusted. I tursh our gov. We are helping the people of Iraqi to be FREE. Yes Free thats what allows us to say things and do things. Iraq could be a rich country with many great people but Saddam as taken the money for himself and the country is a mess. In 50 years Iraqi will be as strong and Germany and Japan are today after we rebuilt them after WWII. GOD BLESS the USA and our boys doing the work we all know needs to be done.

I work them blocking a round/hook righ then I make them work differant counters off it then we just go from there.

Fighting for the sake of sport IMO is pointless. Now thats not to say I don't love a good boxing match, UFC, or street fight. LOL However the true Martial Artist will realize their is a much bigger picture than just beating another person up. MA should be used to better yourself and help others.

The 2 go hand in hand. Karate unlike other MA is based on the idea of no first attack. Meaning you are always being good. LOL. The training alone from bowing to the dojo to saying the dojo Kun, to cleaning the floor after class etc. Karate is much like any religon with no GOD figure. Its a code of how to live and act teaching morals and values.

Both have pros and cons. The mixed class is good so the lower ranks can see higher ranks and learn by watching. However it also makes them feel like they are way behind. The one rank classes allow people to work with people their own rank and develope that way but they may not get a real since of how good or bad they are. At the same time you can be singled out and watched closer because everyone is doing the same thing. Bottom line its as long as it is wide.

You did the right thing. I don't care if you are a stand up fighter and you 2 friends stay you still down 2-1 and thats not good odds. Espically when were talking 17 vs 19 in age. That 2 big years of growing. Reguardless of that fighting is not right. First thing I would do is find me some better friends. LOL. If things would have broken out I would not leave my buddy to get beat up I don't care how many of them their was. As far as a method of attack. Find the leader of the bad guys and hit him in the groin. No such thing as fighting dirty and you need to take as many out as quick as you can so hit below the belt as much as you can and hope for the best. LOL. However you did the right thing.

Its 90 miles south of Bagdad. Glad to see it took us 5 days what it took the inspectors 5 months not to find. I hope the French, Russians, and Germans realize now the problem Iraq has been.
