KickChink had a good story on here somewere about getting her purse taken and chasing they guy until she heard her child crying. Not sure where to go about looking for it o.
Tear a hamstring. Not pull tear their is no worse feeling makes you sick and you can never get confortable standing, setting, laying down, etc. They just suck. I would not wish it on my worst enemy.
Part of MA training IMO is to not let the little things bother you. A little thing is your gi messed up.After a few hard kata or sparring my top always comes out of my belt. No big deal. We alway wear a t shirt under our gi's so guy or girl its not going to be a problem. Bottom line is when your attacked on the street you can't be worried about someone messing up your new shirt or jacket. So don't let the gi both you.
no pads or pads pretty much your call. We do light contact to what i call shock contact. Meaning you can use force to certin areas of the body but if you see it hurt them back off.
They are good but diffeart rules mean differant things. The early UFC's with no time and basically no one used to grapple stand up guys did not have chance once they went down. The last few UFC's I have watch have been pretty balanced I think. In all reality it depends if you can avoid fighting the other person fight.
We used to well we had the option to when I trained. 2 big reasons. 1. We had red carpet and our white gi's turend pink. LOL 2. We did a lot of outdoor training and again white was just hard to keep clean.
