  4. well I dont practice shotokan but we stress kata very much in my school, almost as much if not more than kumite

  9. It will get better, unfortunately there isnt much that can be done about the ribs, I have had mine cracked before, and I even have some bruised right now. I also have a tournament this saturday and its gonna be rough with bruised ribs, cracked ones would be pretty hardcore. You might want to not fight and hopefully you'll feel well enough to do at least your kata, if not then I wouldnt try to push it, you might cause further injury

    Try holding onto a chair at first, then when you feel more comfortable take the chair away
  12. I study Bushido-Kai, its basically Kyokushin but with a Christian twist, and that is part of why it turns me on, I think it builds a stronger Christian as well as martial artist. http://abkakarate.org/ (our website) dunno makes sense to me
