I had an MRI done last week on my left foot, because it's been bothering me for ages. The big toe joint has been hurting for about 2 years, and this spring I fractured a little foot bone. It still hurts now, so I decided enough was enough and got an MRI. Now the doctor is telling me that there appears to be fluid in/around the joint. What does that mean? She also said that I might have an inflammatory joint disease. Is this just arthritis or could it be something else? I'm supposed to get some bloodwork done, I guess that'll give us more information or something. I just wanted to get a preliminary idea of what might be going on.

Happy Thanksgiving!! This year's day happens to fall on my cousin's 19th birthday. I'm thankful that he gets to spend it with his family (he might be going to Iraq soon). I would leave or turn them in. The fact of the matter is: you KNOW what they're doing. Although they aren't getting caught now, they probably will. And when that happens, a lot of people are going to take the fall. There's this nasty little "guilty by association" thing, and if they connect you with this corruption, you could suffer a fate far worse than losing your job now...and that won't do your baby any good at all. If you start to look for a different job now, it'll be easier because the name of the company on your resume won't be a tarnished one yet. I'm sure a lot of companies in the Philadelphia area need network administrators. How large is the company you work for? The whole "bigger they are, the harder they fall" concept seems to be true in corrupt companies

The reason that capoeira appears to be a dance is because of the way it had to originate. The dance portion was originally meant to disguise the fact that it was a martial art, because the people weren't supposed to learn how to defend themselves. Sorry to be so vague, I don't know much about the historical background.

You might try contacting a few federations and organizations and see if they have any information. If not, who knows...you might spark a new interest for them and the research can be created. Be aware that any demographic information you may find is probably not going to be very complete. With so many independent schools, it's an enormous task to collect enough information to procure credible results. Good luck!

I'm going to move this to the Comparative Styles forum, but I ask that you please rephrase your quesion to avoid superlatives...instead of asking what is the "best" or "most comprehensive", try asking for multiple styles that specialize in what you're looking for (i.e. close-up fighting), and compare them objectively if possible. AOL has to be the most problematic ISP I've ever heard of. I've never personally used it (because there are no local dial-up numbers in my area so it would be a long distance call, and I'm not doing broadband through them), but everyone I know of who has it, hates it. It's overpriced, and most/all of the good features can be obtained without cost (AIM, etc). Go local or with some service like NetZero or Juno. That way if it's crappy, at least you're paying less.

White Warlock, can you come to my school and give a lecture/seminar?? Some guys here could seriously use your advice. I especially love the thought of ending plurality...even when you're pursuing a girl, try to go after only one. There's nothing more unnerving for me than to find out some guy that was flirting with me has moved on to another girl because of "timing" or whatever. It puts way too much pressure on the girl to try to "win" you before someone else does. For me, competition over a guy is a real turn-off. If you see that other girls are hitting on you, please do the gentlemanly romantic thing where you turn them down and redouble your efforts for the girl you care about. I understand that it's difficult...it's a risky sacrifice to make. By giving up multiple "okay" girls on the chance that one great girl will say yes, you're doing a pretty courageous thing. If the girl realizes your sacrifice (which she should realize on her own, if she doesn't, do not bring it up or else it sounds like you're guilting her into something), she'll also recognize that you are loyal, a great quality to have in a long-term relationship.
