  3. I can see where he might see the need to defend his wife if the perps were doing something that made her feel like she was in danger....I just feel that it could have been handled differently. Im sure his wife is up crying every night wishing he would have just walked away with her. My last comment on this matter Hasta!! Slider

  6. I have had the privalige to see a muay Thai match in Thailand firsthand...awsome. I think it would be very popular over here in the USA, but it would require a little bit more extreme peeps to participate cuz elbows, headbutts, and all that good stuff will be used. Hasta!! slider

  8. I found out something rather interesting today.... If you punch someone, it is considered assault and battery, but if you kick someone, you can be charged with assault with a deadly weapon!!! Can u believe that? Hasta!! [ This Message was edited by: Slider on 2002-01-18 09:00 ] [ This Message was edited by: Patrick on 2002-01-18 09:12 ]

  14. I'll take the good old fasioned hickory stick for me!!! Sticks are readily available wherever you may need it. If you are in a fight, and you look down and see a stick, pick it up and go to town on the guy. Hasta!! Slider _________________ Check out "Koldsteel" Enterprises. 17. Kenpo karate has some pretty advance katas. Each rank has about 1-2 katas average. I try to teach them to ALL students, but I do teach a limited program to younger students. As they get older they learn the katas required for each rank. I personally will not promote any student under the age of 17 to black belt, so by that time...they will have all requirements. It really depends on the students comprehension level. Hasta!! Slider

  19. Its good for a quick strike, but against a skilled fighter...I really would not advise it. Your weight distribution in that stance is 60/40 and your mobility is cut....if it doesnt work, you will need a sec to re-set...and thats too much time in a fighting situation. Try leaning back an kicking the groin when your opponant kicks...very good fight strat. Hasta!! Slider
  20. I didnt list mine either, but im in Cali Hasta!! Slider
  21. I'll take a hit if I can grab the guy for a good takedown..normally I prefer surprises, so I like to get in and grab the shoulder, then down we go Hasta!! Slider
  22. I learned the basics to survive a ground fight in about 2 months. I think thats the average. The rest of the time is spent learning new locks, holds, and chokes..further enhancing your arsenal. You'll be a good profieciant ground fighter in about 2 months if u are dedicated enough. Hasta!! Slider
