  1. Furthermore, I am not saying your opinion is wrong. You are saying that mine, and others are wrong.... Per reading your other posts
  2. Not all people opninions are based upon facts. This is what I am trying to tell you.. It is individual beliefs. If some have the opinion that the Christian bible is the only word of God, his opinion is from belief and not based upon factual (proven or disproven) Here is where I play a double edge sword... I (per you born speaking Chinese) was born into English, opinions are not based upon facts. Look into many English dictionaries
  3. So, being exposed to Mandarin, is where my original discussion is started. If one is exposed to Mandarin Chinese. And these Chinese do not relate to Kung Fu as a martial art.........well you get it.... also....per Chinese dictionaries that I have just recently checked in a book stores, kung fu is not the translation for martial arts.....all of the ones I had opened, list wu shu.....only two list "kung fu", but lists it as skill, work, etc.... I believe the term came to "identify" itself out of popularity, etc.

  7. Wing Chun Kuen Man Good point.... Did you know that many Chinese masters were yi sang (yi-shong)?
  8. Good point on the first. Opnions cannot be wrong because it is about individuality and belief. It is a conlcusion or belief by the individual, but not substantiated by knowledge or proof
  9. Good point, But many masters weren't even concerned with "grade" or years for that matter.
  10. Where are you from? The term "struting" can mean many things. Just like Chinese liguistics. Actually from what I am told, it is easier to learn Chinese than English. When there are two opposing opnions, does it hold that one is right or the other is wrong. Can both opnions be right, or both be wrong. Your posts are refreshing indeed-sincerely....
  11. Did I say it was Mandarin, or for that matter, Wu, Yue, Hakka, Min, Gan, Xiang, or Cantonese? Or any dialogue in particular?
  12. I think we have this one. We call it a "leg check"
  13. Poor examples.... Of course we know people are in Spain....just call. The wind: Of course we know it exists. When it is blowing, we "see" the trees move, etc. When it is blowing hard, we "hear it" (even through a device called:chimes) It blows across our face/skin, we can "feel" it We can simulate and produce it. I can even to this from my body in two ways. Speaking of producing it from the body, per smell: It catches many odors, some undistinguishable, so we can "smell" it, through it being a "carrier".
  14. Yes, but we know it makes a sound???? I guess we should get the "Masked Magician" to investigate. And what about John Edwards?
  15. You get a star... Good point, as usual SevenStar....
  16. But, from comtinued training, you become disciplined, any having more tools, to not take a life. The "Christian Struggle" is the same with the "Buddhist Struggle". Research why Buddhists had a struggle with it and finally embraced it. My advantage is that one of my students is a collegiate professor in Buddhism. We switch the roles of instructor and student frequently. And no, reading about another religion should not conflict with your faith.
  17. He got his BB from at McDojo with his "happy Meal"
  18. Can a male kyu, become a dan, without getting a dan? Does anyone "give a dan"?
  19. Check them out...try to do research on THEIR instructors.....
  20. What, may I ask, is the striking part of the foot?
  21. Well written....so we do have fears from the result of confrontations
