you are comparing apples and oranges its like comparing rugby and american football or baseball to cricket but is does make for interesting conversation there have been lots of fights in the past where a kickboxing champ fought a thai champ whoever wins the match usually depends on the rules that the fight was fought under.

because the wka defines kickboxing as allowing leg kicks does not make it so in the early eighties the pka was a big kickboxing organization and they did not allow leg kicks. but some of kickboxing earliest stars came from this area bill wallace brad hefton and jerry trimble to name a few this brings up the biggest problem in kickboxing today too many groups with to many different rules if all of the groups, iska wka wako k-1 would come together it would benefit the sport come up with one set of regulations that all of the worlds sponsoring groups will accept and then promote the sport as one unified group there seems to be three major classes of fighting right now... full contact karate....kickboxing with no leg kicks kickboxing....kickboxing allowing leg kicks muay thai...kickboxing allowing leg kicks knees and elbows(with some slight variations in these rules to allow for fighter inexperience) if the sport would get together it would allow for the unification of all of the alphabet groups so called world title holders into one unanimous title holder for all weight classes think of the promotion opportunity that would allow kickboxing has struggled to break through to the general population due to in part the alphabet brothers fighting over a small piece of pie. perhaps if they all got together the pie would grow large enough for everyone

never ever watch the eyes watch the chest where the chest goes so does your oponent dont be afraid to get hit sometimes you get hit there is no shame in getting hit try to control the distance when your oponent sets to throw a technique move if he/she wants to punch stay in kicking range or viseversa if you wathc the chest your periferral vision will see the arms and legs move good luck

i agree how did van damme help chuck norris in karate norris was a world champ in the late sixties how old was van damme? the only thing van damme ever did for chuck norris was help keep martial arts movies in the theatres ps whats with van dammes rep for ....drugs,physical abuse and oh ya total arrogance seems to me that he could learn a few thing from chuck norris. actions speak louder than words and mr norris has done plenty to give back to the martial arts community. especially his kick drugs out of america program what the world needs is more positive role models for young kids to look up to people like mr norris are in a select group and should not be grouped with a scum bag like van damme

it seems to me that it all depends on wether or not the topic of a games offends you. if a video game was produced about a group of terrorists doing random bombings and escaping justice how would most people react. or if a game was made about wiping out terrorists around the globe, or a game about slaughtering all non whites... each person decides for him/herself what they find wrong....if you dont like the games a company is producing do something productive about it

patrick most canadians understand that we benifit from bordering the us that is not the question here the point is an american pilot screwed up and friendly soldiers were killed. all you must do is look at what the us proposed in the united nations. that american soldiers who serve on u.n. peace keeping missions be exempt from all war crime prosecution. if that does not show you that the american military thinks it is above the law that the rest of the world follows

the g-8 summit comes to calgary next week. for those of you who do not know the g-8 is the 8 leading economic countries in the world. there are many people who fear that calgary will have the same problems as seattle vancouver and recently halifax with protesters getting out of hand and destroying everything peaceful protest is fine but the second you break the law and interfere with others you should go directly to jail and not pass go here is hoping that the protests are non violent and everyone gets to say what they came to say ps do not gine me that crap about the police causing all the problems. police have better things to to and dont want to see their home town damaged either

tyson is just a thug always has been. Even as a young man he got into trouble but it was ignored because of his potential in boxing. He never beat anyone with any kind of record who was in their prime. Even a sloth like Ruddock gave him trouble. He was heavyweight champ when the division was the weakest it has ever been. dear brer war is not 100 percent accurate what an excuse.. if a canadian pilot dropped a bomb on an american squad and killed for yanks when the pilot was told not to fire the american people would be outraged but because it was not americans who were killed the american attitude is oh well it happens ..it should not happen as often as it does when americans are involved
