Thought I would open this category. I have a few Christmas wishes. Wish that: . we could go back to Sept 10 and stop the attacks before they happened. . hope that the closeness felt by humans since the attack does not go away. . everyone has someone to be with or care about during the season. . all martial artists from all styles are tied together by a similar bond. The belief that through training and perserverance we can all become better people. Some humorous wishes.Wish that. .I was younger so that stretching would not seem more difficult every year. .My kids did not seem to be getting so old so quick. .I could eat what I used to and not see it instantly on my waistline. .I could kick like Superfoot and punch as fast as Ali. But seriously: Merry Christmas to everyone in the martial arts community and your families. May your season be happy and all your techniques flawless. Enjoy Life.........RAM Calgary, Alberta

hey prodigy get a grip cardio workout is one of the most important ways a fighter can improve themself. I suppose that you think that skipping is whimpy too.Just because the programs dont fit you dont run them down. Without cardio fitness sustained longer than a twenty minutes period youll suck wind faster than a jet turbine. Remember any bozo can go in and slug it out...win or lose..the skill is in hitting when not being able to be hit....If cardio Kickboxing class improves my "dancing" then i am all for it....

My point is to try and get one style of rules into the olys will be hard enough as much as i would like to see all styles in. The key is to get all of the major promoters and sanctioning bodies together to call up with a single proposal to show the oly committee. The PKA was established on tv and was very audience loyal. The only problem I see with leg kicks, knee strikes and the like are that the general public finds that type of fighting dirty. If Olympic Kickboxing is addded how will it avoid the horrible decisions that have plagued amateur boxing n the games.

11 hits in one second wake up your dreaming. It is bozo claims like this that give the arts a bad name... -
Never said it would be easy. Get the major ametuer sanctioning bodies to get together and agree on the basic rules. Perhaps run several promotions using different rules and ask the people in attendance which bouts they prefer. Kickboxing has been shooting itself in the foot since it began by the alphabet boys always one upping each other. Maybe the Olympics are the competition that could finally bring them together. Maybe the promotoers could make suggestions or even heaven forbid the athletes could have a say in the rules and regulations.

:bawling:Only a tae kwon do freak would use a crescent kick because they are not allowed to punch to the head -
Crescent Kicks
ramcalgary replied to SuperMinh's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
The crescent kick and hook kick are totally differant. The crescent kick is useless in the ring or on the street it does not generate enough power to warrent the risk of such a high predictable kick... -
