  5. Yes, I think the best way to do Kumite is to just attack and vounter whenever the time is appropriate.
  6. Hi, I have been wondering what everyone thinks is the best state of mind for Kumite. Is it better to have an attitude of going in with an attack constantly? Or is it just better to keep bouncing around and wauting for them to atttack you?
  7. Usually you start to learn Empies when you are a Yellow Belt I think they are classed as Intermediate techniques.
  8. Just try really hard.
  9. I love a good hard Training lesson.
  10. lol, OK, OK, Sorry for getting hot headed. OK, Kizame-Zuki! Perfect!
  11. LOL! I know yea, I asked Bob, remember? I was a bit cheeky, I said: " I'm not being funny or anything, but it needs updating." LOL! When I think about it now i was dead cheeky.
  12. Yes, Adrian I probably am, I didnt need that mouthful of crap from "Killer Miller" lol, You could have just explained what you thought I was doing instead of critiscising the way I have spelt Gyaku Tsuki.
  13. I think it would be a good idea for you to go through a basic class. I would go through a series of basics suited to the certain belts. Then I would pair them up, go through the techniques you have just went through in the Kumite Demonstration and let them do it. Then I would practise Kata.
  14. I dont think may leg strength has anything to do with it. Its probably my stances.
  15. Oh, well try deleting some of the crap youve got on your computer! lol. Its so crammed up with files im surpirised you can do anything. When you out things in the recycle bin, try deleting things from the recycle bin, youll have more space.
  16. You've been on it tons of times! What are you on about you cant get onto it?
  17. Those licks must be really hard to pull off, 720 degrees spin! It is like aan over the top Kung Fu film. e.g. Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon. Are these kicks performed in midair?
  18. I'm sorry bit I don't know what your talking about. Try searching for it on Google.com it will probably correct the spellings aswell for you.
  19. There is a good website I dont know if anyway one has posted this before. It is called http://www.kugb.org/ You may find you like it.
  20. Thise of you who don't know who sensei Enoeda was, well he was the Chief instructor of the KUGB before he passed away last year. His wife has set up a generous Cancer fund towards Children with Cancer in memory of him since he loved Children so much. Check it out on http://www.kugb.org/ ^^^ Is also a very good website!
  21. No I don't think I am squaring myself off. Thanks for the advice everyone.
  22. I always make up my own Katas in my Garden or Living room! I find it fun. Anyway, I have never really properly devoted myself to it before though, I have just messed around. I should start to make my Katas rememmorable. What you should do though, is make the Kata logical, it must make sense if you were to try the techniques on someone. It is also always a good idea to apply your own preferred fighting style ibnto your Kate. But you don't want to make it too easy for yourself. Try to train yourself by putting in moves that you wouldn't usally try.
  23. I do competitions aswell. I am 14 and I way about 8 stone (English weight) I have started going to a lot more competitions lately and I am starting to win stuff...
  24. For some reason I have always avoided this thread. But now that I have read the first post I know I want to take part in it. My Gi always Flies Open aswell! Although I think that may have something to do with the side ties on it though. I tihnk to the question of, is there a secret to tieing your Belt? I would have to say that no there isnt You do it your own way. You have just got to find that way. It took me about a year...
  25. Er- are you sire about those translations? Punch is Zuki and Geri is Kick. I know lots of Japanese it is all logical. like Age is rising for Uke is Block Age Uke is rising block, get it? You could just guess what some of the words mean sometimes like Soto-Uke probably meanInside Block and Uchi Uke probably means inside Block.
