Another "should I test?" thread

Laurie, If you are ready, do it. You can use that learning experience to help her for her test. -
YES!!! I FINALLY GET TO START WEAPONS!

They probably won't last very long if you do stick drills with them. Purchase the real rattan. Flame harden and then let some mineral oil flow thru the veins to preserve them. PM me if you need more details. -
A vacation. With Jennifer Garner.

Ditto.

Snow is great until you have to shovel or plow it everyday for a month. My area had a record amount last January of about 100 inches. The Snow Gods hate us here.

That's called growing up. But some never do. -
Open discussion is encouraged, but this topic has been beaten to death.

Imagine Bruce Lee in a football uniform and squared up against Warren Sapp for a full game.

I'm with you on that one. It was opening night last night wasn't it? I think so, but I'm trying to forget right now. Trying to focus on a .500 season with the Lions.

Questions about Kali/Escrima/Arnis sticks and styles.
ZR440 replied to MysticRonin101's topic in Martial Arts Weapons
Affirmative. It kind of heat treats the outer skin similar to heat treating metals and prolongs the life of the stick a little. They tend to splinter after repeated stick to stick hits, but I've had mine over a year so far. -

This link might help with the common questions regarding FMAs. http://www.martialartsresource.com/anonftp/pub/eskrima/digests/fmafaq.htm#APPENDIX%20E%20-%20FMA%20Equipment/Weapon%20Suppliers As far as stick selection, the standard rattan material is fine. Even better if you can buy it flame treated. Or you can do it yourself with a torch. We also flow mineral oil thru our sticks as a preservative/flex agent. -
Everyone in my state thinks they're sitting on a pot of gold.

As for the totalled Chevelle SS, you may go to a hot place in your afterlife for that. Oh yeah, only a 383. I'm still jealous. I needed to buy a nice car years ago before auctions like Barett Jackson started a domino effect on car values. Jeez, even the plain jane Cutlass is outa my price range now.

Either give it a good dose of radiation or just burn it. We'll send you a replacement if need be. -
I'm mostly a GM follower (Chevelles, Trans Ams, W-Series Olds), but appreciate anything that has a high lift cam and a mean set of gears. Previously working in a body shop I've helped restore numerous classics even as old as a '29 Model A. I don't do that too much anymore, but I am getting my '85 Buick GN closer to being on the road.

Nope, but I love the old Detroit engineered musclecars.

Adjusted the IAC? High 10's? That's sick. I'm currently installing some new Lucas injectors in the GN. I have a sneaky suspicion the old ones have been my problem the whole summer. You should PM KSN Doug to see if he's going. Perhaps you can meet up with him at the tourney. If you see Master Simonds from the Sault Ste Marie school there, don't be afraid to introduce yourself. He's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
