  1. Respect- someone should write a book about shotokan philosophy
  2. Bruce L made an excellent point about having a rounded workout.. I used to work extremely hard on my stoumach and eventually managed a 6pac, but I found i had a whole load of back problems after. It wasnt untill i realised that the body's muscles work in pairs and that my intensive work out on my stoumach was causing my back problems. From then on i tried to work on pairs of muscles in my polymetric and weight training.
  3. I think they should let the legend remain the legend as he is now..

  17. There is an ancient Indian art all about pressure points, it's banned in most countries. However you can go learn it in southern india, but it takes several years training to get good. I was honoured to have an artist demonstrate the art on me in this country (dont tell anyone he'll get arrested)...anyways - now i pine to learn it. Anyone seen Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon? when Jade Fox parallyses the security gaurd where he is, untill li mu bai sorts him out? This is exactly what this art teaches, he parralysed my arm for 15 seconds...I literally couldnt move it untill he fixed it. And he showed me a combination , where if you were to normally press one wouldnt feel pain, if you press whilst pressing the index finger you'll scream in pain. Sigh....how i wish to go to S.India .. 18. no matter how effective youre techniques are, it doesnt matter if you cant bring yourself to use them, if you lose control and not use them when you should...
  19. Lol Rushman - Isnt the most exhillarating of pastimes , or is it?

  21. My friend is a muay thai fighter, and he cant fight outside the refereed muay thai ring to save his life. No matter what you say about anyone who does muay thai is an effective fighter, it cant be true, as my friend proves. He admits, he is just not confident enough, he is afraid of what can happen to him, he loses his nerve and doesnt use the techniques he knows so well. Just proving mental state is everything - and that the fighter's attitude is more important then the art he practices.
  22. Hi
