  1. No way to unshrink. But a hot dryer will shrink a cotton gi.
  2. Yes pleas continue all further discussion in the above mentioned thread.
  3. Just keep the discussion civil please.
  4. The name for Shi-to ryu gets censored because the auto censor programing just sees the 4 letter s word which is a no-no. As for looking for Rohai some shi-to ryu groups do Matsumara rohai and Itosu Shodan, Nidan and Sandan. There is a lot of differences of opinion on wether or not the Itosu Rohai's are versions of Matsumura rohai broken down into three katas the way that Itosu broke down the Naihanchi katas into three separate katas from one.
  5. Have you tried contacting local martial arts schools to see if you can watch some classes?
  6. Yes it would be very interesting to have your adventures posted here. Please think about KF during the time you have internet access.
  7. How are yours different from the mail order variety?
  8. I really don't follow football. Not even the superbowl.
  9. I had to think about this; but the best thing is just to visit a nearby school and start trying the arts that are available in your area. Shorin ryu would be a good choice as would many of the other things that have been suggested. Just find something and give it a try. The first thing you try may not be the one so keep an open mind. Just do something.
  10. Watching a big test can be motivating even if you are not testing yourself. It is also very motivating to train around those who are getting ready to test. The atmosphere gets the adrenaline really pumping.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Some things wrong when you run out of questions.
  12. Welcome to the forum.
  13. I reopened this thread by request. Just please all keep it civil and respect each other and their opinions.
  14. So KickChick are youa pda convert now?
  15. Welcome to the forum.
  16. Pda's are a great way to keep things right at hand. There are many good databases for food and nutritional information. So far the only martial arts related data base I have encountered so far is one for terms.

  18. Welcome to the forum.
  19. And we want to know how it went when you get back.
  20. Has anyone seen this new show on the History channel? Amid the shows they have done on things like demolition derbies they have also done some pretty cool stuff on medieval weaponry.
  21. Mayo on fries????????? I agree YUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
  22. Some interesting answers everyone. Now I have another question for you. Can you realistically see yourself doing some kind of training or fitness activity for the rest of your life? How much do you think your answer differs from the way your sedentary peers think?
  23. And remember it is fairly impossible for anyone to remember at that is taught in a six hour seminar. Absorb as much as you can and view the rest of it as something to look forward to mastering in your future.
