  2. You have the same kind of luck I do.
  3. Dojo's are not a democracy. They are a school. Like any school you wear the uniform required by the school including the patch. If I may suggest your old patch would make a lovely wall display. That way you could still honor your past training and your old sensei.
  4. I had one I made using an old broom handle and some rope. I just tied a weight plate to the bottom of the rope. And if you hold the broom handle out at shoulder height you are also doing some strenght work for your shoulders at the same time.
  5. Sounds like you need to get that checked out by a doctor. May be dislocated.
  6. http://ask.yahoo.com/ask/20010205.html What is SPAM made of? Mike Lexington, Kentucky Dear Mike: According to the The Amazing SPAM Home Page, the ingredients of SPAM are as follows: chopped pork shoulder meat with ham meat added salt (for binding, flavor, and firmness) water (to help in mixing) sugar (for flavor) sodium Nitrite (for color and as a preservative) And here are some other interesting SPAM-related facts to consider: In the United States, 3.8 cans of SPAM are consumed every second. Hawaiians eat an average of four cans of SPAM per person per year (this is the highest SPAM consumption rate per capita in the world). Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia eats a SPAM and mayonnaise sandwich three times a week. Nikita Krushchev credited SPAM with the survival of the WWII Russian army. Quothe the Krushchev: "Without SPAM, we wouldn't have been able to feed our army." Any more meaty questions? Try the official site. Spam isn't pork hey?

  10. It sure is. Spam has the largest popularity in places where people eat a lot of pork.
  11. I am amazed no one said that before now. With many the hesitations you see in their kata is their unfamiliarity with it. Daily visualization should indeed help her with this problem.
  12. Because by then there would have been seepage. And the pants would have been contaminated too. MEN arggggghhhhhhhhh
  13. Another way to approach the situation is to think of it as an exercise in learning control. Work with her part of the time, (you will both benefit), and someone else part of the time. The extra effort you put into learning control can only benefit your training.
  14. It was about 15.
  15. Anything that strengthens the forearms also strengthens the grip. And a wrist roller is very effective.
  16. It is not a matter of age as it is a matter of an individuals joint structure and musculature. And the connective tissue.

  20. Going back to the rule about not throwing snowballs near the building. The winter I was at Ft. Devens we had a lot of people in the company who had never seen snow before. The first snow just happened to be an all day deep one. That night there were company wide snow ball fights. A few windows did get broken. Fortunately not non of ours. I never did find out what happened to the culprits if any were pinned.
