Personally, I'd say using both feet and both hands at once is best. I just have to figure out how to stop falling.

I think the question is kind of silly. The best kick is whatever kick will hit the spot that's open. Sometimes that's no kick at all.

You must not watch/read a lot of Batman.

who do you think is the greatest fighter in the world?
Cybren replied to Akira13's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I'd have to say Jesus. He kicked Satans * in their first fight. -
Locks that have no counter.

I said that silly quote from Dudley Doowright for a reason. Every lock can be picked. Unfortunatally, some require damage to the mechanism (IE, your arm/leg) -
Is TKD considered Karate?
Cybren replied to taekwonho's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
He's probably referring to mural paintings in about 50 BC which showed the figures in Tae Kwon Do like stances. I belive at that point it was called Taek Kyon, EDIT: wether or not Tae Kwon Do derived from it is up to debate entirly... -
I've been interested in Dim Mak for a while now, and am curious if any of you can recommend some books on it.

Do these techniques give you an edge on the street?
Cybren replied to Treebranch's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
There's a difference between getting an edge, and a fight stopper. -

Cybren replied to Treebranch's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
Sure, they can hit you hard, and they can take more hits, but they lose an essential part of a fight...reason... I'd hope I'd never get into a fight, much less someone who hardly feels pain. -

Well, some guy high on drugs is probably not doing too well coordination wise to be able to hit you effectivly either.... Besides, winning a streetfight is irrelevent to the later court precedings. If someone wins a streetfight by stomping them, then they won. Regardless if a courts sends them to jail. -
Then again, the purpose of a court is to decide the punishments themselves. He was attacked, and, in order to safe guard his well being, he ended his opponants ability to further attack. Really, there's no way to tell the person wouldn't of kept going on.

Another "what would you do" question
Cybren replied to TJS's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
I'd do what my older brother taught me. If it's a guy, i'd bite their nipple, and grab their balls. If they try to resit one, I'll do the other harder. If it's a female. Well...I wouldn't mind. -
Will Dipsie have a built in calculator and phonebook? I think that's googles most appealing feature. It's "accuracy slip" isn't really a slip. It's just that, when someone clicks a link from googles website, it gets "bumped up". If a million people search for "woodchuck", and all click on KarateForums.com (should it appear at all), it will be the number one result for "woodchuck"

I got #1. Fairly accurate, though I noticed traits from several of them that fit me...

Grappling with a BJJ blackbelt
Cybren replied to goshinman's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
That's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm simply saying that he grappled with one, and then thnks they're all just as good. While it is logical to conclude that BJJ blackbelts would be goot at grappling, one grappling match isn't sufficient evidence (and i'll say it again, I don't doubt that most BJJ black belts are "awesome" at grappling, but that's not the point) -

This hias nothing to do with political correctness. Nor does anyones experience in BJJ in anyway hold relevence in the discussion -

The only person who qualifies as an idiot is you. I'm not saying that they aren't, i'm saying that it's a large assumption for the topic starter to base his opinion on an entire school of fighting from one person. -
A court would not favor ruling in your favor if you initiated the physical conflict. A mature person wouldn't let verbal conflict escalate into physical conflict, or that person atleast wouldn't be the one to initiate it.
