  4. Welcome.
  5. Hello, Thanks for the note, but publicly asking for sticky threads isn't the way to go, a private message is always best. In this case, I don't think it would serve much of a purpose. It is common sense to most people that there is no ultimate art, there is only the ultimate art for you and what you require. A sticky thread probably won't help them learn this. In the mean time, don't violate our User Guidelines when replying to people who haven't learned this yet, just try to help them see the light in a productive way. Afterall, this community is open to all. Thanks.
  6. Yes. That is the entire purpose. (Not just books though... also equipment, DVDs, VHS, uniforms and training gear!). Thanks.
  7. Moved. Be sure to PM me or a staff member in cases like this as current threads can be moved. We don't encourage cross posting, which is posting the same information in two or more forums. Thanks. Please continue...
  8. Hello, We will be launching a new site that will be the official shop of KarateForums.com. Much different from what we now call the "KarateForums.com Shop" this will be an actual site where product information from Amazon.com will be displayed, rather than just a link to Amazon.com. This new site will be heavily integrated with KarateForums.com and they will go together hand in hand. In recognition of this, we have decided to launch a section called KarateForums.com Product Reviews. This section will function much like the KarateForums.com Articles section does. You will be able to submit a review for publishing and we will (hopefully) publish it. Please note that the product that you are reviewing must be available at our new shop. So, how do you know if it will be available? Easy. For the time being, go to Amazon.com. If it is available there (in one of the Martial Arts categories), we will have it most likely. For more information, please read the Review Posting Guidelines thread at http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=116328 - we are hoping that we can get a few (or more) product reviews in the database so that we can begin publishing reviews when the site launches. So, if you want to write a product review, we'd love to see it! Thank you for reading.
  9. Hello, I have decided to combine this into one thread. While I don't think he needs to have all of the work done for him, leaving him out in the cold isn't right and doesn't fall within the principles of this community. I believe what we can do is to provide links to resources or pages that will help him to get the information he needs and answer the questions that he needs answered. One of the purposes of this community is to help people and this counts. If you don't want to provide a useful resource, don't respond. Unhelpful comments do nothing. Basically, he is working on a school project and is looking for the general principles and mentality of Ju-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Karate, TKD, Gung-Fu, San Shou and Tai-Chi. So, please post your resources to answer these questions or get this information, if you can. Thanks.

  15. My favorite is: "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." - Martin Luther King Jr.
  16. Pretty ordinary.
  17. As it probably doesn't do any good in the public forums, I have removed this and am going to PM him. Thanks.
  18. Hello, The first part didn't seem that confusing to me. What is the best fighting style for the Sai if your only method of training is by watching videos and reading books? The second part is a bit more sketchy, though. Maybe you could elaborate. Thanks.
  19. Happy Thanksgiving.
  20. Welcome.
