  4. Hey all, This has been a long and interesting discussion. At this time, though, I do believe that the thread itself has run it's course. It's a bit of an albatross and pretty much anything to say on this thread has already been said. So, I am going to go ahead and close it. Thanks.
  5. Welcome back.

  11. Welcome to KarateForums.com.
  12. Hello, We removed a post in error from this thread. It is quoted below. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks. I'm not sure what you mean by musical. The kata in the video he showed was put to music. The people bounced to the music. The use of the sine wave is not bad, but exaggeration to the point of absurdity is just that absurd. We use our hips in our punches too but it doest have to look like a booty shake when you get good at it. It looks good to the beat, that video was dancing- JMO
  13. Sports (Yankees and Dolphins fan), investing, music (listening, I'm a huge Diddy and Bad Boy, but I listen to many others, as well), TV (House, 24, Prison Break, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The War at Home), reading, writing, gaming (when I have time, which varies... I like to play America's Army on the PC, but I haven't in like 10 months! I have a Wii and we have all of the Nintendo systems, so I play those as I can, as well).
  14. Welcome to KF. Glad to have you.
  15. hehe, thanks Heidi. I actually saw something I have some kind of idea about, so I figured I should jump in and not let the opportunity pass, since another one may never come again.
  16. Hey all, Just as a reminder, there is no other option on this thread. The poll is a list of arts that the member presumably has access to and those are what s/he can choose from. This thread doesn't function for anyone to say what art they personally prefer, but what art they think is better for poisendhearts with his/her goals in mind, outlined as such: Thanks.
  17. I'm fairly certain that basketball, football and bowling have their own training methods that could be comparable to kata. In some part of practice/training/cultivation, they all work on technique without touching a ball or any other person.
