Did anyone here have an Atari 2600 or 7800? Anyone still messing around with it from time to time? We had a 7800 when I was younger and my Uncle always had a 2600 out when we visited him, but I hadn't played any games in a number of years. I've brought it back out and bought a bunch of games on eBay, prodded along by my little brother who wanted to play it.

They are in my thoughts, as well.

Hello, Unfortunately, it's not gonna be easy. If it was, they wouldn't be selling on eBay like that. It's a supply and demand issue. They aren't overpriced, they are priced at what the market will bear. I've had mine since shortly after it was released. I bought it on eBay. In hindsight, this was a great move because it hasn't gone down at all, really, from what I got it at before the holidays. So, my recommendaton would be to get your credit card handy and bid to win. Have a set price in mind and bid at that price point. If it's realistic, you'll get one. If you can't invest your money, you will need to invest your time and get lucky. You'll need to call all stores in your area - over and over again, get ready to stand in line before opening over and over again, etc. etc. I can't afford to spend my time that way, so it's better, in my case, to just spend the extra $150 and save my time, the gas money, etc. etc. and just get down to enjoying it. Beyond that, you will simply have to wait it out. Once demand drops, so will the prices. Where are you located, by the way?

That's a neat thing... I may look that up one day.

Hello, April Fools! Knowing how sensitive the whole buying ranks thing can be, we decided to take advantage of that to have a little fun. Getting any belt you want (even no belt) if you pay $5? Even the prospect of not getting a belt unless you pay? (Thanks baronbvp for giving me that opening... it hadn't even crossed our minds. ) This is what most would probably consider the stuff of McDojos. The PayPal payment link was real and if we had received any payments (we didn't), I would have changed their belts... and then changed them back and refunded their money after we made this announcement. JKDManCT is not a real person (if you look closely, JKDManCT has his style listed as TKD... doesn't make a whole lot of sense, lol). We also "promoted" 5 members (armanox, baronbvp, DancingSteve, Elky and obiwansbane) and gave them 7 days to pay or they would go back to their normal belt. At this time, the old system will still be in place for non paying individuals. Although, that might not be an idea (i.e. if you don't pay for the belt, you don't get the belt). I appreciate the question. Thanks.
