I agree, i like street fighter games better than tekken but tekken has real styles and actual moves that could show stuff from a style.

There is a good chance that my gym might close so i was wondering if it is a good idea to buy tekken 4 or vitrua fighter 4 to see what style of martial art i might like to take. Is this a good idea or the worste idea that you have ever heard?

I think that wolverine would win because even if spiderman stayed far away he wouldnt be able to hurt wolverine because wolverine could easily cut spidermans web. If spidey got close to wolverine to fight he wouldnt hurt him because wolverine can heal himself and he could easly kill him in hand to hand combat.

delta1, I think that this is best idea for a forum on the comparitive styles section yet. I think it would be very interesting to learn about everyone eleses styles.

Green dragon, you say that your small town has about a million people?!?! I wouldnt call that a small town at all, id say that was pretty big. It also seems that all of you americans are really getting ripped off. I pay $50 canadian a month and people even think thats really high. Most places around here charge about $30 a month which is only like $17 american.

hmm, i always thought that big cities charged that small towns, oh well. No offence but your schools prices are like crazy high.

training from books or videos wil never get you far. Its ok to do them as an adition to your training but never on its own is it a good idea. there is no substitute for professional instruction.

muay thai-its $50 canadian, which is actually pretty expensive because there are so many cheap crappy karate and tkd schools.

No wavemasters arnt at all as good as real punching bags and it depends what style of karate and the way that each teacher teaches. In general i believe that the boxer would win because boxing gyms usually train thier students really hard and they usually do hard sparring where karate gyms dont always. But you if you get a good karate dojo then there are equal chances.
