yes. because through all the randomly placed theroies and supposed vast (or should i say Vague) knoladged sages on what chi is ive gotten confused and see few diffrences. give me clear deffinition of chi from your perspective so i can use it to base my test on and perhaps ill just decide to agree as fighting theroies is actually getting tiring and seemingly pointless.

okay heres the skinny: dude! i could kiss you! the download at least got me further than were i was before, but we still have problems to face and lets first see if we can do it without spending money. The game only works in 16 bit windowed resolution, which causes a problem because the game itself ends up having a lot of distortion (when gandalf grabed the ring from frodo, it looked like his hands didnt just leave they streched like bublegum! also Bag end (frodo's house) had so much distortion i couldnt see were i was going half the tme) is there a way to change my computers over all resolution? im almost positive this computer was meant to be 32 bit combatiable. also, another complaint you all can do nothing about but im sure tolk fans could agree. the opening movie came in pretty clear; that was Galladrien! what the heck!? she looked like brittany spears, and that was the worst rendition of the tale of the forging of the ring ive ever heard. otherwise, from what i could see, the game didnt look half bad though.

your right, because its not possible to do a well controled experiment, theres to much theory on what constitutes as chi and what dosent. and yet i can see enough evidence in both directions for this to be a highly arguable subject, wouldnt you agree Jerry?

is it only the manufactuer you need? it says on the disply screen under manufactourer 'ATI Tech - enhanced

on this computer, windows ME, on the other one its 98, both are compatible with this game. the game comes with a download for direct x 8.1 which i have, heres the wammy. i went to that window like you said and on display i ran the test. it tested the direct x 7 and it came out just fine with the spinning directx 3d cube and all. it tested direct x 8 stuff, and didnt do anything, there was a message in the little white box that said: Direct3d test results: failure at step 5 (GetDeviceCaps) HResult=0x8876086a (3d not available) ......im going to have to spend money, arnt i?

yea, see id love to but my problem is i dont know quite how to find out my 'skinny' because this thing was bought at a garage sale. the guy worked on computers as a hobby and he just built me the dang thing right there. its pretty fast for the basic stuff i need as a writer but it dosent have a manual so i need a way to find out exactly what kind of system i have here.

okay, before i ask this, note that as a fantasy writer myself i am a natural Tolkien freak and a computer retard when it comes to hard ware. so when all these games for Lord of the Rings came out i had to get one. i got this computer at a garage sale, it wasnt to old, but not to new either. i decided to get the pc version of the game because, unlike th others, it follows the book and not the movies (and i also dont have a PS2 or anything like that) i have all the system requirments for the game except one that they failed to mention. an alert screen keeps poping up saying i dont have a 3d accelarator. i dont even know what one is, or i didnt then. i had hoped it might be freeware. no such luck of course, its a pretty expensive pice of hardware. so here is my question; how do i figure out what my computers prodentials are (i dont have a manual) to figure out which accelarator i need? or are they a bit more generic than that? also, is it possible for a cd drive to contain an acclarator, because i have a cd-rom update that i bought which is fairly new. thanks. (i havent installed the cd-rom drive yet, the new one i mean)

Rich if i may say something your not going to like in the slightest. i mean i think your both right, its important to train with modern guns for self defense reasons but i still say it depends on why your there. self defense, tradition, culture (im not sure about tournamnet though in ninjitsu is there such a thing?) i mean there really is no wrong answer in that department except (I want to learn how to beat the @#!$^* out of ppl" at the same time i personaly belive that while its all fine and dandy if your there because you want to defend your self, or because you like to compete, or in ninjitsu's case, youd like to become taco bells industrial espionage agent and assisante Mcdonalds employes and stuff. (J/K MCdee's managers) but even still theres only one right answer for being there to: To perfect ones character. thats just what my sensai told me though. im not sure how hard it is to find a 'traditional' Ninjitsu school because im not really in that art. in fact, now that i think about it, i know very little about ninjitsu! other than i think it means "Way of the ninja" but wait, wouldnt that have to have "Do' somewere in it? I also know that unlike other styles, it has way more than just combat tacticts. i really should research this further.

oh wow, so its like "the sai fights MS" cool. im kinda doing the same thing with deslixia and falling arhes. not as big a deal as MS, but its still a battle i guess. My sensai let me hold the sais and stuff so i could mesure up for my own pair (one inch below the elbow when held in a blocking position right?) ive loved and respected the sai for so long, i kinda treated it like a nuclear weapon when i held it for the first time ever, i was really timid, i think sensai could tell because he laughed when i picked them up (slowly, with both hands as though i were holding an infant) this must seem silly to you. the mystery behind the martial arts is just another reason i love them though. I write a lot of sci-fi/fantasy and was thinking of making a story that took place in a mythic asia and basiclly said that the martial arts were created through a devine intervention. this fiction wouldnt be disrespectful would it?

wow, thanks saifights! i guess really then, the sai is kinda enveloped in mystery, imean we dont REALLY know were it came from do we? ive been wondering since i came here, you must be huge advocate of the sai, since your name and everything. Id really like to discuss it more with you, its lack of documantation of orgiing actuall makes it that much more attractive. ive started to see a pattern though in martial arts weapons; do all the weapons, with the exception of sword, have some prior use before they were used as a weapon? thats what it seems like. thanks again. (P.S. how did i know, when ki asked a question about zai, that you would be the one to come to the rescue? guess the name gives it away.)

i dont know what its use truely was in okinawa all i know is in isshinryu we are taught on how to use it to be anti-sword, which i guess could be converted to be anti knife as well. i also read that you would actually carry three, not two. the third was sharper at the high point and would be used as a throwing knife.

i love sai's, even though im not training in them yet, its the first weapon ill probably get to learn (if not it will likely be bo, but i hpe its sai) i seek a history lesson if someone has it, on were the sai actually comes from, how it was used ect. (I know in okinawa it was like, anti-sword combat, which is really cool) thanks.

yes i see your point and am simply stating its not rational. there is a BIG diffrence between a compairson of shot in the stomach and hunger, than there is ki and the force of attraction. no surgeon can remove your ki, nor can he remove the force of attraction from your body. what im saying is you can give me a medical deffinition of why your stomach growls or why you feel pain in the stomach when hit there but you can not give me a medical deffinition of ki or the force of attraction, not one that is acurate hard as you may try because they are, in a scence, spiritual intities. im not arguing now that im correct, simply that i have a valid theory worthy of consideration.
