  1. VERY good point Sin Style!
  2. I highly doubt it, and if they do, I doubt they're any good. It would be kinda hard to learn martial arts while high.

  4. Heck yeah! I started a thread on it, but no one seemed to care. I was watching it about 2 hours ago. They show reruns on TNN.
  5. Welcome to the forums!
  6. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN!!! DAH DUN!!! Most comfortable in a tuxedo or gorgeous gown, you float across the room never taking your eyes off the prize. Mesmerized, they realize only too late that their wallet is missing, and worse yet, so is their heart. Vital Gear Includes a killer smile, open tab at the local watering hole and a smooth ride to take home your winnings.
  7. Id say its a good buy if you like it. I would recommend filling it with sand instead of water though, just in case a crack forms in it. Unless your hands are already slightly toughened, I wouldn't recommend hitting it bare handed for a while. Small bag gloves are enough though. The base can get in the way sometimes. Personally, I prefer a regular heavy bag so it can swing around when I kick it and I can practice kicking a moving target. It all depends on your taste though, and if you have somewhere to hang a regular heavy bag. If you have nowhere to hang it, then the wavemaster is definately for you.
  8. I heard something about this a few months back. I will definately be watching. It will give more publicity to MA, so thats a good thing. I dont like the "survivor" aspect though. That could cause some major false ideas of "what is the best martial art" based on who won.

    pet??

Ive got a sun conure (parrot) named Skittles. So many colors. lol Also, I have a golden retriever named Sugar and a chihuahua named Nicky. There was a pekinese named Koo, but she died about a month ago. That sucked. She's been around as far back as I can remember. It was like losing a member of the family. I consider pets family members anyway, and I feel just as much remorse when one of them dies as I would if my brother or cousin were to die. My family thinks Im nuts. lol My aunt agrees with me though. Shes cool. haha Anyway, we will probably be getting a rottweiler soon. We are planning on naming it Shredder(Yes, inspired by the Kevin Eastman/Peter Laird character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. lol). Mom didnt like any of the other names I had in mind, lol. I dont see whats wrong with Bloodbath... If we dont get a rottweiler, then we will probably get a german sheperd.
  10. I would prefer to have my own drive. The people I look to for inspiration might change one day into something that I wouldnt want to be.
  11. Hahahahahaha. You should have seen the expression on my face when I read the thread title. I thought you meant mace as in the stick with the metal spiked ball(s) attached to it with chains. lol I dont carry it because I dont have it. I know of a mace container that looks like a pen. If I did carry it, thats what it would be in. Yeah, that government issue stuff is harsh. My mom (trooper) has some that she hasta use. You cant be in the same room with that junk when its sprayed. I hope I never get any of that in my eyes.
  12. Wouldnt this be more appropriate in the weapons forum? Ok, aside from that... I carry weapons sometimes. Most are the same as G95's. I prefer to wear clothing that I could use in defense. I also carry a tactical fighting knife because you never know when a knife will be needed and not just for self defense. If there is a time where Im injured and couldnt defend myself with what I normally carry, then I might carry a cane (The only cane I have has a sword in it though. lol I want to get another one that I could actually take to school.). On rare occasions when I feel the need, Ill carry my asp with me. Aside from that, Ill carry something with me if one of my friends requests that I bring it (within reason, of course).

  14. Well, it worked! Welcome!
  15. Well, Im getting some new turntables soon and my friends have talked me into working at their parties and throwing one of my own. Since I'm gonna be working at actual parties and stuff, Im gonna need some new records. What would be some good party music for me to pick up? Dont forget that most new music is released on vinyl for this specific purpose, so dont hold back with recent releases. I need ideas for dance music, a few slow songs, etc. Also, a few need to NOT have any dj's in the band. If there is already a dj on the record, then I couldnt do much to it. lol I only need a few of those types though. All suggestions are welcome. Im goin to Atlanta on Thursday, so I'll be picking these up then. After then, Ebay will be my source of vinyl.
  16. Its good to know that Im not the only fan! Bitseach, Im based in Tifton,Georgia,USA. I got a virtual tour of the Globe Theatre on the net, but thats as close as Im going to get for a couple of years. Im definately seeing some plays there when I start to travel. No, I havent seen the movie of which you speak. Does anyone else have trouble coming back to regular English after watching or reading one if his plays? I have to get into that language mindset to understand it and I always have trouble coming out of it. lol I end up speaking that way for a few hours. Btw, do you know why it is back luck to say MacBeth? (Hey, Ive got back luck already. A little more wont kill me.... I hope.... *gulp*) Ive always wondered that. Also, for anyone who wants to read some of his plays, I know of a website that has all of them on there for anyone to read for free. Ill find the link and post it here later.
  17. Hey! The only old song that I like is the original Ice Ice Baby. Have you heard him since he switched to rock? His new stuff is cool. Theres even a heavy metal version of Ice Ice Baby! lol
  18. Welcome! I dont hope you will have a good time here... I KNOW you will! hehe
  19. Does anyone know of any cardio I can do while I have a pulled hamstring? I pulled it about a month ago and havent been able to work out much. I dont want to become fat while I cant really use my leg. I can only run short distances at a low speed. I guess that would be a jog then wouldnt it.... yup. Ive been trying to think of things on my own, but Im drawing a blank. Ive gone on a diet to slow any weight gain. Please help! _________________ Just as the rose that symbolizes it, love can be beautiful, but you will eventually be pricked by a thorn.-ME RIP De De Ramone [ This Message was edited by: Blade13 on 2002-06-10 03:13 ]
  20. Im a big fan of Willam Shakespeare's plays. My favorite is Romeo & Juliet. Ive pretty much memorized it. haha Especially Act II, Scene II. (But soft, what light through yonder window breaks, it is the east, and Juliet is the sun. Arise fair sun and kill the envious moon who is already sick and pale with grief that thou her maid are far more fair than she.....yadda yadda. You know what Im talkin about now? lol Had to add that for the non-Shakespeare fans) I got the nickname "Romeo" because I knew more than the teacher did when we studied it in my advanced honors literature class. She always chose me first when we had to act scenes out. The bad part was that my friend, Daniel, had to be Juliet. *shudders* She wanted to keep with the tradition of men playing women. Luckily, no kissing was involved. haha So, does anyone else like his work? If so which plays and are there any favorite parts? I was just watching R&J on tv and wondered if I was alone in this.
  21. Ninja Turtles were what made me take up martial arts! I dont care what anyone says, I still like the show/movies. (I have strange taste. Im even a huge Vanilla Ice fan!) hehe Anyway... nowadays my inspiration comes from myself. I know that I am capable of much more than I can do now, so I push myself to achieve it. If I'm ever tired and lack motivation I just watch a martial arts movie with a lot of fighting in it (ex. Fist Of Legend) and I get pumped and ready to work! Sometimes though, my motivation comes from an unstoppable deadline! (ex.- getting ready 4 a demo, tournament, etc.)
  22. There is a Fairtex gym (muay thai) in Atlanta, I think.
  23. De De Ramone of the pioneer Punk rock group, The Ramones, died on wednesday night because of an accidental drug overdose. I dont know whether or not it was legal drugs. He was 50 years old. His brother and bandmate, Joey Ramone, died when he was 49. (That wasnt recent though.) They are definately missed.
