  1. Welcome to the boards! Yup, you definately found a great place to chat about MA. Hope ya have fun here.
  2. Sorry to see ya go! Bye.
  3. Is there any way to speed the recovery? I just pulled mine tonight at a dance! That was about half an hour ago.... Anyway, this normally wouldnt bother me much and I would just take it easy until healed, but I hafta do a demo next saturday!
  4. Hes primarily the football coach, but does weightlifting as well. He doesnt exactly seem to be a genius.... Well, thats a less harsh way of putting it because hes still really nice even though hes strict. Thats the only max we have to do, but we have a lot of different workouts. No offence taken.
  5. Man! That HAD to hurt! My toes are twitching from just thinking about it! *shudders*
  6. Ive heard that Tae Kwon Do involves a lot of kicking. I could be wrong though. There are many others on here that could help you out with TKD info a lot more than I could. Good luck in finding a style you like!
  7. Welcome to the boards! Every time I see a post by you I will think of Mel Gibson, lol. Darn that movie....
  8. Hey! Welcome to the boards!
  9. Oh yeah, and also in georgia, it is illegal to eat peanuts after 6PM on a Sunday. No one pays attention to these stupid laws anyway.
  10. I have to max a lot because Im in a weightlifting class at school. Our coach makes us max out about every 2 weeks to see if we are actually working. If it doesnt go up at least 5lbs each time, we get points deducted from our grade.
  11. Ive gotta remember to pay more attention to older methods of working out. That brick thing is awesome, lol.
  12. My favorites would definately be the chinese broadsword or the whip chain.
  13. Heh, I was contemplating making a katana once because of the lack of quality ones on the market (well, out of the ones I can afford), but had the same problems. Hopefully, Ill have the time and resources sometime in the future.
  14. http://www.karatetournaments.com is how I keep track of upcoming tournaments. They give info and numbers to call for questions, etc. A lot of tournaments will have a kata competition, as well as fighting and some other events.
  15. I saw a picture of some sais from the Edo Period the other day and I noticed that they were quite different from mine. The middle part was a blade, not a metal bar like in the ones sold today. Were all sais like that back then, and if so, why was the design changed?
  16. Not really necessary, unless it is for testing iron body training or something like it. Its still really fun.
  17. Have you talked to him about it? Like, have you asked him to elaborate on what he is saying? He might if you just ask him to. Or is he the kind of sensei that is always like "DONT QUESTION ME!" and has a major power trip sometimes?
  18. What are they? Ive never heard of them. Also, how could one get invited to it? Sounds interesting.
  19. Yeah, it was a good movie, but not in its muay thai aspects. I do love Bloodsport though. Ive got that movie and watch it often.
  20. Welcome! Yeah, most people here are really nice.
  21. Hey. Good to have a fellow gun enthusiast joining us on the boards. I have a few rifles, shotguns, etc. Im proudest of my sniper rifle though. All of the handguns belong to my mom though (shes a state trooper).
  22. Hey! Ur gonna notice a lot of nifty things like that on these forums. They are really awesome. Hope ya have fun here.
  23. Welcome to the forums! I wish you the best of luck on your upcoming grading and in all of your competitions. Too bad I cant come up there to compete. It sounds fun, but Im in georgia and have another tournament on that day. What events are you competing in?
  24. Same here. Im printing that one out. Great article, and so so true.
  25. In georgia, it is specifically illegal to have sex with a porcupine. I wonder if that was a big enough problem at one point as to where a law had to be made..... ow!
