we do kick with weights on our legs and stuff. i think we train pretty well on doing different things so, me must be doing well, i guess? does your class run, and do alot of other things together? just wondering.

splits between chairs is extremly hard! it like called overextended slpits or something. i wouldn't try it unless you are very flexible!

it does seem weird. our school runs a mile together after sparring classes on fridays. i still don't understand how it doesn't help. that was rather confusing.

we can't do that in tae kwon do. i mean in aau we can but not in any other. we get points subtracted or something! lol but good ideas!

we have them at our school, and they work well. they do sometimes squeak but after a while people get use to them and learn how to make them not squeak. they are fine if you ask me. they have been at our school for 2 years now and they are still in good shape!

it defiantly depends on the instructor! my instructor is a 3 dan and she is awesome, honostly, i don't think any one could have been a better person. so, yeah, of-course!

it takes a long time to learn a technique just right. if you practice every so often many different moves you will pretty much know them in general to practice them on your own. if you have a question about a certain move, you should feel free to talk to the unstructor after class and they should explain it to you. g/l.

my instructor was "straight up" over the phone. then when we went in to talk to her, she told me the price of gear, classes, and testing fee's. i don't know. they should be straight up with you i think just b/c MA is a lot of money and you need to know if you can afford it!

i don't think the fading away of the belt looks very nice. it needs to be retired if it that old. i saw a man with one that was white/grey and i thought it looked rather dirty and disrespectful. just my thought.

just keep commited, and there are books, and many things on the internet, i don't know of any web-sites though. and as for testing i have no idea if you will be able to promote. and i'm not sure about tourney's either. as for equipment go to a search engine and type "karate supplies" and there should be a HUGE list of sites to go to. good luck.

i think weapons are good. they teach you to focus on more than just your body. kali sticks make great demo's too as well as other weapons! go for it!
