hey kensai whats "Black Belt Clubs" ? -
Dosen't look like it pal. Unfortunatley the whole world is only concerend about making money, so the chances of finding one free online is pretty slim. I'd like to see a video of suparpine, just to see it.

I thought that thing about registereing yourself as a weapon was all a rumor. I really don't have an idea of what it's like in a dojo yet, i still haven't been in any of my local ones.

Well I know mikelw practices that style, don't know if he does at that dojo though.

Hey there isn't anything wrong with being 14.

I think you need to renew your idea of strengt. Is strength how much you weigh or how much you can bench. Or is strength how good and effectivly you can do the techniques. It's kind of like the scenario of a 150 pound woman knocking a 300 pound man on his back because she had better technique than his(yes this also means he coudl have had no technique). So I think muscle mass and brute force don't play an important roll, it's more how well the preson and perform what's needed to be done.

I have been thinking last night bout how america is both a democracy and a dictatorship. It seems to me that any country that dosen't run itself like the US wants it to, get's screwed over by the US. We don't mind our own buisness. It's like whats going on over in Iraq right now. We don't like the way Saddam is running his country, so we're gonna go put our nose in his buisness and turn it into yet another country forced into a new type of goverment by the US. I mean some countries we don't start war with, but we'll cut off their foreign aid until they agree to do things our way. Are we really the free world or our we the just the dictatorship of the world.

Just watch the daily show on comedy central. He makes fun of a lot of current events, so If you want to make a humorous cartoon my advice watch that.

I'd do endurance. Beacuse if you can endure the training your getting it's essentially building strength in the background. So either way you'll get strong. I'd do endurance simply because the more training you can do the better you will be.

Well I just checked a book out of my library today and noticed that the publisher is Pro-Action sports. Well guess what the name of my goju-ryu dojo in town is named Pro-Action Family Martial Arts. So I thought maybe someone went to a dojo like this because it sounds like it may be national. If anyone does please tell me what you think about it.

MA for 4 year olds
BKJ1216 replied to paisley's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
Well yeah I know what you mean monkeygirl. I first started karate when I was 6. They put me in this thing called kinderkarate. I knew it wasn't actual karate because all we did was run around and play tag. So I quit and decided I'd join it when I was old enough to do the actual thing. -

I think you would be better off postin this in the grappling arts section. -
I thoguht about this for a couple minutes and I relized I'm doing karate for purley self defense. I mean yeah I'm also using it as a way to get fit, but aren't unfit people the target of much if not all of the torment? Not only that I agree with grunt about the people in this world that are evil, and unfortunatley I've already had to deal with them, and I didn't do a good job of it. Thats really the only reason I'm doing karate for self defense, and I think that fits because that is why they developed it hundreds of years ago.
-
Okay I'm pretty confused here. Didn't they make karate as a form of unarmed self defense? Not as a way to go invade some other country and take it over? I think that there would be a major difference there.

I just saw the one. It was a pretty cool movie.
