  1. 2/3 Light warmup of focus pad drills Knife control and disarms Gun disarms, control tactics, creating distance through posting and weapons presentation.
  2. Eye's and run, Groin and run. rinse, wash, repeat. Total and utter brutality may be necessary.
  3. Yes Pat Barry did not throw to many strikes in that fight, but the strikes he did throw were accurate and powerful. Pat Barry is a very high level kickboxer just youtube some of his K-1 fights. Its hard to know when both guys gameplans just cancel each other out but this does happen occasionally.
  4. 2/2 worked boxing defense,hand positions, shoulder rolls. BJJ-worked halfguard sweeps and passing spider guard and butterfly guard
  5. How is the concentration level after 8 hours of training????
  6. 1/30 Drilled guard pass, to sidecontrol, to mount, to arm triangle for about 45 minutes 25 min freeroll.
  7. 1/27 A light warmup followed by four 3 minute rounds of hard boxing sparring. I was really a having trouble keeping everything crisp and tight and instead resulted to throwing bombs everytime i got in trouble. I did ok, but got a few more than i gave out. As a cool down we worked about 45 minutes of gun disarms from various positions.
  8. While getting out of my vehicle in the gym parking lot this evening, i slipped on the ice, tried to catch myself on the steering wheel of the car and proceded to fall on the door latch inside the car. It took a pretty large sized chunk of skin with it and hurt like crazy.

  10. Bujin Bugei Jutsu-3years 2nd degree brown belt(2nd Kyu) Spent those same three years studying mma, bjj, boxing wrestling, aiki jiu-jitsu, kyusho-jutsu, escrima, kali, arnise, krav maga, goju-ryu and every other MA that Bujin has borrowed components from.
  11. Judo, bjj, wrestling, sambo, any grappling art would be very beneficial. Some Muay Thai and Western boxing would be good as well.

  13. 1/25 light conditioning 45 min grappling-light freeroll concetrating on grips and hip/chest pressure from all positions.

  15. 1/22 Working concealment, and shooting position drills while stalking the elusive north american coyote in the pitch dark. I can say that coyote's have never been safer than they were that night.
  16. "learning" from a dvd is a great way to give yourself false confidence in a technique. You have no feedback from an instructor or a training partner to tell if you are doing a technique correctly. This seems like a good way to get your self in a world of hurt if god forbid, you find yourself in a combative situation.
  17. 1/20 Worked abs and shoulders prior to class Class included entries from punching to trapping to grappling ranges back and forth. One person would strike, one would attempt to control and grapple. (i got a bloody nose) We also worked Knife draw recognition with attempting to expel and escape the situation. Finally we ended with a fight scenerio on the ground, the person on bottom would at some time draw a knife, the person on top would attempt to control the weapon and escape.

  19. 1/16 Drilled Side control to low mount, to arm triangle transitions Side control hip and chest pressure drills

  21. 1/15 Drilled top position crosschest for 90 minutes, followed by 45 minutes in the sauna.
  22. Same here. Oh it's hubud and lubud, if you want to look them up. Im just following the long storied Bujin tradition of misspelling things.
  23. 1/13 Hubot drills empty hand and with knife Knife drills focusing on redirection and sensitivity Clinch fighting working gradually out to trapping range and eventually punching and kicking ranges. Sensei and myself having fun roughing each other up.
  24. Simultaneous, block and stop hit(punch, palm heel strike, eye gouge, koko strike etc.) followed by recipricating punches or knees to the groin.
