Scott Sonnon said that psychic non contact fighting only works on compliant partners. I don't think non contact fighting makes an art more marketable because it is too unbelievable. I read about R.O.S.S. and the style is less aggressive in the beginning phases of training and less technique based than systema; however, the style also has sambo influences because their is gi and no gi grappling.

Does anyone here know any R.O.S.S. instructors in San Diego. I want to check out this system someday.

I started Systema yesterday!

http://sandiegosystema.com/ my instructor also teaches at a different location. Also, I plan to train under Lester Cohen as well. Systema California 8979 Oviedo St. San Diego, CA 92129 United States 858-484-6137 Master Lester Cohen is also an expert in JKD and Filipino Martial Arts! Here is a link to every systema class in the world associated with master rybako and master vasillev. http://www.russianmartialart.com/main.php?page=affiliates&loc=us My instructor teaching the swat team! Website of three experienced systema practitioners http://www.progressivecombat.com/index.html -
Yesterday, I learned that Systema is a real martial art. I guess the quality of instruction varies amongst different instructors. My instructor trains realistically because he is an ex Navy Seal. My instructor never said that Systema was a Christian faith based martial art, and he never said anything about intrinsic power. Every combat drill was reality based. I was especially glad when the instructor said he didn't how to perform non contact combat. Thus, I think I found myself a practical combative place to train. http://bouncecalifornia.com/ (website of the location in which I trained at) 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm on Thursdays is when classes are held.

Scott Sonnon on facebook said that he learned psychic energy for six years in Russia; however, he believes these psychic energy drills only effect compliant partners. -
Shan Yan Ming (shaolin monk from New York) can break spears with his throat using chi. He also has a refined version of the one inch punch. All these skills can not be explained through modern science according to a show called sport science on the national geographic channel. http://russiansystema.net/resources/articles/new-paradigm.htm An unusual article i found on chi/ki I've seen people performed amazing acts first hand and this is why I am curious about chi/ki. E.G. I saw a martial arts instructor push a heavy punching bag using one finger.
-
I do not know much about martial arts. Many feats that shaolin monks, combat ki people, wudang monks, and spetsnaz soldiers are capable of look all fake too me. I do not understand chi which comes from the dantian and what it does. There is a video of an old monk on the internet doing one finger zen! I do not how anyone can do this with chi/ki!

Is it possible to develop intrinsic power from tai chi, daito ryu aikijitsu, and systema. If it is possible, I will cross train in all three. Also, I would like to know if Systema is a legitimate system of combat. I heard that a person can train in systema eventhough he/she is injured. Does anyone on this forum have any experience with systema. The faith based principles of systema seem esoteric. I've seen some videos of systema people falling off balance because they fear the grandmaster instructor, which seems kind of silly.

Why does systema look so fake.

THe systema videos are for show? They look completely fake in my opinion. -
Anderson Silva used a karate kick against Vitor Belfort. Steaven Seagal helped Anderson Silva refined the front kick. Mr. Seagal's first black belt was in shtio ryu karate and his instructor was Master Fumio Demura.

Kyokushin vs Other Karate Styles. Cold Hard Facts!!!!!

I've seen IOGKF goju ryu people spar in a realistic manner called irikumi go and the sparring includes takedowns, multiple opponents, and submissions. -
Ernie Reyes Jr. is the name of the filipino muay thai fighter
-
The green power ranger has experience in jkd, american kenpo karate, muay thai, kali, etc. He developed his own martial arts style, but I forgot the name (sounds kind of like jeet kune do)
-
Master Toddy in las vegas trained the green ranger in muay thai. And Master Saekson Janjira trained some philipino power ranger who has also has alot of experience in taekwondo. Sorry I am really bad with remembering names.

I saw my old martial arts instructor and he told me he could modify the curriculum for me, which depends on what I can do. The instruction price is only good if one sticks with martial arts training for a long period of time at the dojo. Monthly pay is quite high; however, the training schedule is 5 or 6 days a week and 3-4 hours long. There are also private lessons at the dojo where I trained at, but private lessons tend to be expensive. Most martial arts dojos in san diego charge a lot of money. I am a slow learner, but I want to be a good martial artists. Should I focus on a style that takes less time to be proficient in like marine martial arts and muay thai once I recover from injuries?

Why does systema look so fake.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVl_gl84V-U Some techniques looked real and some techniques looked funny. -
I saw a Systema guy on youtube easily parry a muay thai guy's roundhouse kick with one hand. If systema people's fighting abilities are real, then I would like to take systema at http://sandiegosystema.com/. I will begin training as soon as all my sprains heal. I will see my doctor soon and he will likely appoint a sports therapist for me. I thought good punches relied on structure, mass, and movement. Systema fighters don't seem to punch with proper form.
