  1. This experience has made me much more suspicious about a many things than I was in the past. In this area, my learning curve spiked a billion for the betterment of our Hombu and it's entire student body. Won't ever happen again...not on my watch!!
  2. Where there's 10, there'll be 10 more that will deride the original 10 because our experiences are different and not always in tune with one another.
  3. As the current Kaicho, I've had to put out a few fires from time to time, but either our complaints are being handled before they get to me, or our Hombu is doing a better job across the board and no one has anything to complain about. LISTEN!! This, imho, is the most vital tool one can have when addressing any said complaint. And not just listening. One has to listen to what's being said and how it's being said. *Listen closely to the real problem the customer describes. *Repeat the problem back to the customer. *Say that you're sorry for whatever happened. *Get to the root of the problem. *Express appreciation to the customer for bringing the complaint to your attention. *Solve said complaint(s) in a very timely manner.
  4. Solid post!!
  5. Shindokan Saitou-ryu!! Imho, Shindokan has everything that I could ask for and then some. It has an indepth grappling system that's not seen in many other main stream Karate styles. It's brand of Tuite, imho, is complete in its totality; it's a get in your face and rub your face in the ground until your face is removed type of Tuite. It's close range techniques are simple, yet they are exciting across the board. This is just a small note of why Shindokan is my favorite karate style. Is Shindokan complete? NO!! No style of the MA is complete! If a style says that it is, well, imho, they're not being honest with themselves and they're not being honest with the MA world. Soon as I meet that complete style of the MA, well, I'll quit Shindokan faster than a speeding bullet.
  6. I wholeheartedly agree with bushido_man96!! It's not the amount of the MA that one is taking, whether it's 1 or more at the same time or at different times. No. It's, imho, what one can do with what one has at the time that it's going to be needed. I'd rather have one effective tool than a whole big large tool box full of different gadgets. However, it's always great to have a wider ability to use other tools from ones tool box because all repairs are different.
  7. Great interview!! Your MA knowledge and insight is exciting to read because everyone learns something MA related no matter one rank and/or knowledge, and I'm no exception to that rule; I learn and you're one that I learn from. Solid across the board in every aspect in and out of the MA. Thank you for all you've done for KF over the years.
  8. Great interview!! I sincerely thank you for your many contributions over the years; solid across the board. I've enjoyed your posts as well, and I look forward to them each time I log onto KF. Thank you for all you've done for KF!!
  9. Great interview!! Your contributions over the many years are reflective as to the type of person and MAist that you are; solid across the board. I've enjoyed your posts as well as your MA insights for these many years, and I look forward to them in the future. Thank you for all you do for KF!!
  10. Congrats, and its well deserved!!
  11. Welcome to KF!!!!!!!!!
  12. Welcome to KF!!!!!!!!!
  13. Welcome to KF!!!!!!!!!
  14. Thank you!!
  15. I'm not dressing out for Halloween...got to teach that night.
  16. I agree. I'm just amazed at your Chiefs, that's all!!
  17. It's a karate school/MA school, and not a dating school. Keep it outside, if one can't, then quit!!
  18. I LOVE IT!! EXCELLENT!! I suppose that you'll do the same thing the day AFTER Halloween.
  19. Meet his wild punching with a kick!! The legs longer than the arms, and he can flail away all he wants UNTIL he meets one of your kicks. Intercept his blitzes with a well meaning kick. Not to hurt him, but to let him know that you're right there and he'll have to try something else more effective. If you're not there, neither will his attacks. Transition out of his reach, and if you're game, transition him with forward angles. It can be quite upsetting to someone not ready for it. And of course, speak with your instructor because he/she is the final word.
  20. To me, the only true way to test someones MA abilities in on the floor!! Everything else, imho, is suggestive. In that, I've never heard of him, but, that doesn't mean anything because the world is a big place, and that includes the MA world.
  21. WOW!! And I mean WOW!! The amount of countries is mind blowing!! Thanks for the info, and I mean, it must of taken some time to assemble all of the data. See...that's why you're the Administrator, not just by title!! THANK YOU PATRICK!!
  22. Great interview!! I've enjoyed your posts across the board; very deliberate keen sense of MA knowledge. Your contibutions don't go unnoticed, and in that, all members can learn a thing or two from you concerning the MA. I'm glad to as well that you're part of staff, and you're a vital part of staff, imho. Thank you!!
  23. Great interview!! I thank you for the kind words!! They mean the world to me!! I've always enjoyed your posts because you're specific and to the point. You're equipment knowledge is excellent, and it should be because of what you do for a living. However, your MA knowledge isn't just about MA equipment and the like, no, you've, from what I've read, direct MA knowledge. So much so, that you're not lost in a conversation about a wide plethora of MA subjects. And your business sense is dead right on. Has to be in your line of work. Otherwise, your MA supply store would not be open. Thank you!!
  24. Great interview!! My brother and I also enjoy watching Doctor Who, old and new. It's not Star Trek, and it's not suppose to be, but still, Doctor Who is right up there with the best on the tube. I've enjoyed your posts, each and everyone of them. Quite right on the mark, imho!! Thank you!!
