Well I just turned in my Black Belt Essay and I will testing for my dan ranking in a few weeks. I am so excited and so nervous at the same time. How many of you had the butterflies and the nervousness for your dan ranking? I think it is worst than for my kyu rankings.

I agree with all that was said above. He should go for it.

I thought it was all right card, I agree it was not up to all the hype. GSP fight was good and so was Henderson's. I really did not care for Lesnar's antics and he needs to remember that he is not in the WWE. So he needs to quit rehearsing his scripts.

I was just at a tournament Sat. and I was judging and notice the over use of kihaps and kias in Katas and Weapon Forms. This since I do not know all styles and I mostly judge on spirit and techniques made it very hard to judge there katas when every move they thrown was a kihap or kia. So yes I do notice this to.

Going to the tournaments that we go to it is hard to be just a spectator when people know that you are a black belt, even out of gi you are ask to judge. My husband has tried and so has my Sensei's.

We have a New Brighton Hot Dog Shop here and they make really good hot dogs. There is nothing like a hot dog over and open fire. Not Burnt.lol
