  1. I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but it's considered rude to give away as much of the movie as you did without giving some kind of fair warning. Something like what I have below in order to give someone a chance to skip the section they don't want to necessarily read. *SPOILER* ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` Blah blah blah. ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` ` `
  2. Well, yeah, but one of these is an immitation of oriental film and the other (two) are examples of Japanese fantasy film.
  3. After my 4th time seeing this movie, I've decided I want to see it more.
  4. Did, as in past tense, used to, in the past. Any legit school you'll be able to find in this day and age will not be teaching such things in their class.
  5. Now I can say that I loved it. Tarantino Really fit in a lot of references to old 70's Kung Fu movies, and I loved it so much.
  6. Wow, it was absolutely amazing until the last 40 minutes or so when the projector at my theatre died. I got free passes out of it, but I'm still pissed off.
  7. Sonny Chiba does the "samurai" fight choreography, according to upcomingmovies.com. Which, if I'm understanding this correctly, means that any fights with weapons will have been choreographed by him. I'm definately looking forward to this, it could be one of the better action films in years.
  8. Barely, but, yes we do. Our special forces group is especially well trained, or so I've been told.
  9. Neither does any legit Ninjutsu school you'll find.
  10. I'd say TJJ hasn't had the success that BJJ enjoys because they don't focus nearly as much on ground-work and participation in competitions (not that I'm saying that's all BJJ focuses on). For the majority of it's practitioners, TJJ is more of a hobby or something to fit in between work. I'm not saying that makes TJJ worse, but just different.
  11. There are a few wrestlers currently in WWE that have some real talent when it comes to the mat. However, the moves they perform are obviously not being used to their full effect since it's a show. A performance. Entertainment. Besides, Goldberg is one of the last I'd pick to represent pro wrestlers, he honestly knows very few technical moves.
  12. There's nothing wrong with having tattoos in plain view, especially considering how many people have some ink on them now.
  13. Sometimes with near-full time hours and university I find myself getting bogged down and unable to attend. That doesn't happen often, though.
  14. No. That'd sure make it difficult for people who cross-train in other styles, eh?
  15. So, tkdgirl, basically this "no changes" program is just a fancy way of saying that you failed? Because, generally speaking, when you go to test you either pass or fail, and failing means staying at the same rank.
  16. Not unless you left-click on it with the mouse, then copy/paste the file name. Which means a reply can be given, but it'd be cheating.
  17. Personally, I'd lean towards the Hapkido school since it would have an effective mix of grappling and striking.
  18. Goldberg is just a big football player, he doesn't have much in the way of actual wrestling knowledge/talent.
  19. It's just a patch, does it honestly make that much difference to the art you're learning?
  20. How, exactly, is it unethical to ask someone with a higher rank to work with you?
  21. There's something like 1700 varieties of Jujitsu alone.
