favorite combination
boyo1991 replied to boyo1991's topic in TKD, TSD, Hapkido, and Korean Martial Arts
hmmmm nice one... i could see how the opponent is guessing, its kinda in random order lol.. i use mine a lot(roundhouse to tornado) cuz of how quick it comes at you, like, a roundhouse just came, ok blocked it, then while they are thinking of the block, im a step ahead, thinking of the tornado ... works often -
just put your favorite combination down... i am wanting to try all of them to see if i like any others ppl put down... my fav. roundhouse to a tornado kick thx for the help
-
good argument... but in this decision im going to be stubborn im sticking to the tornado kick even tho yes an axe kick does knock out more, i like the tornado kick more just for looks

well what about a superb tornado? i have had many of applause cuz i did a nice one in a tornament... ppl were scared of me, it was quite funny im not saying an axe kick isnt bad looking at all, just i personally like tornado more, as you personally enjoy the sight of an axe kick more just trying to explain my feeling

-
the axe kick isnt all that gr8 looking.. i mean yea, it looks like it hits hard, but for show, DEFENETLY a 360 roundhouse/tornado kick...
-
defenately roundhouse, i actually more like tornado/ 360 roundhouse... those are SOOOO much funner..
-
my tornado kicks look horrible... i can do them, but they are horribly done, i just dont get my leg extended all the way out, so it looks all dumb and stuff... any suggestions? i was thinking maybe stretch more, but that didnt seem to help much.. or is it just naturally like that and i should just swing my leg more? help very much appreciated edit: i found it out on my own.. i was trying to hard basicly, i was trying to force my leg to do something that the muscle would let it do, so, i let that part of the muscle go limp, my leg became strait during the kick.. it really helped my tornado kick!

Intense MA Styles

i really agree, kyokushin is what you are looking for -
well there are many things that come to mind, if the opponent is right in front of me, and too far to use the elbow, i would palm to the forehead, if the opponent is very close, use the elbow, and if the opponent somehow got at a slight angle, i would punch... just my thought..

how many hours do you train a day?
boyo1991 replied to boyo1991's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
"It isn't necessarily the quantity of hours that you train it is more the quality of the training. Practicing a punch ten times with focus on structural alignment, penetration, economy of movement, motion, and energy is much more beneficial than 10,000 sloppy punches." i agree, but what if you only have like 2 good puches, and those are the only punches you do? sure 10,000 sloppy punches can hurt you, but what if you only do 2 puches a day? -
well if hes talking about everyone sucking and he's a white belt, i could see it. but i dont think its disrespectful in any way. i would gladly tell people what belt i ended in...(i train @ home now...)
