Do any of you buy your equipment out of Century? If not what do you get your equipment from?

Dee, I share your obbsession. I have a friend who got me into it any I just love everything about, I mean I am always searching for martial arts online, or I am standing around doing moves. MY friend who is in it with me, sure we talk about karate, but I always bring it up. I always made fun of a friend cause she alwayz talked about ballet. Then I joined karate and she's like "see, your obbsesed" and another friend alwayz rolls her eyes when I even metion karate. But I love it, I even draw pictures, most come from the century cataloge. Well Nice spilling my guts about my obbsession w/karate :pony:

I would say shodan, but then you can't really promote people to your level. No one will reach there shodan until you reach your next belt.

I agree with the ppl that think kata is an important part of learning the martial arts. :pony:

Would you rather join a sports karate or an oringinal style of karate. I do a tradtional type, and have watched sport types. Personaly I like the traditional, street fighting styles. :pony:

I think that the sould, but they need to cover all aspects of it. Not just the sport types, but maybe the traditional too.

:pony: In my class s are out numbered but we are all the upper levels.there is only one guys ahead of us and he is our futer teacher. But I know that alot of guys are afraid of me, just because I take karate. Power to me I guess.

Our last belt before black is a brown one and it is called 1st kyu, then we start automatically on 1st dan, then go up.

Have you ever watched musical katas on ESPN2? It could help you, they are very fast but it could give you an idea. If we had to make one up on our own I would definetly use a bo(staff).
