  3. angus i know about music and where the qutes come from..but i also know the meaning behind the lyrics...which represent giving into anger and arnachy...well sounds cool..but let me ask you are you sleeping well these last few nights ?
  4. angus..dont take this wrong but you first off have a signature "anger is your gift...rage...." then you wonder why your looking over your shoulder now??..lol..i dont think i would have let that girl continue to be hit either but but whoa you come off as a ticking bomb and i dont want to wind up seeing a story about you on CNN...chill out brother....as for tkds question..i dont think id go as so far as to stab him or slice him..i do think i would definetly break something though..insuring i have him completely nutrelized
  5. thank you to all...so much bad things going on lately....weve gotta come into better times...2001 so far has seen nothing but darkness...thank you all for thinking of me ..im touched..love you guys!!
  6. yeah i see your point bill..given certain cirumstances..some type of impairment..or handicap one can adjust and perform taekwondo..but otherwise theres a whole lot of jumping going on...

  8. thanks for thinking about me baby....i got really tense at first i thought we were under attack again but it turns out at this time to have only been an accident...i feel for the nieghborhood..i think the same nieghborhood lost about 60 people in the WTC attacks two months ago...
  9. an american airlines air bus carring about 260 people lost an enigine and crashed into some buildings in far rockaway queens which is about 20 miles southeast of where the world trade center tragedy took place... and about 18 miles west of where i live..im watching footage now..its a mess..fire and smoke everywhere
  10. yeah i know ken..the main problem is that all any one really sees is the "olympic style" taekwondo and form thier opinions of the art from that.....its called full contact..but i feel its just an enhanced form of point fighting and not full contact...to many rules and politics
  11. well first im glad to see you back ken..soo any muay tai stylist can be an effective fighter ...but any taekwondoist is just practcing a sports style?..which is only good in sports competition?....let me tell you something bro..in my school we teach how to fight..(FULL CONTACT).not little taps for point competiotion...but how to make any kick painful on the recieving end..not tapping but full force kicks that cuase damage not pionts and that is taekwondo..even my white/yellow belts can kick effectively with power..maybe where your at you havent met anyone who does this..maybe theres a different kind of thing going on there but its not in every dojang worldwide..and finally i personally have yet to meet a muay thai stylist or any stylist for that matter that can kick as hard as me....usally i am more humble to make such a statement but thats what it is..maybe some day you wiil meet a "real" taekwondo person..until then ill let you know ..were out there....
  12. i really dont understand your question..but taekwondo does involve alot of jumping kicks ..so id have to say no..
  13. big guys do what i do...RUNNN!!!! its easy and only takes about two seconds to learn..im a black belt in sprint style!!!
  14. HOW TO SPEAK AUSTRALIAN *angus lighting a match to his brain* *big explosion follows*..TRAIN OF THOUGHT....fosters beer!!!! ................ well ill agree with you on this angus a martial artist that adapts more technique into his arsenal is definetly a superior fighter
  15. allright now muster check... ive got iron and kicker wheres the rest of the hwarang?..lets get this party started!!!
  16. whats up angus go reread my last post then come back....................................................you see i am agreeing with you on one point which is no martial art is complete...crosstraining is essential..while you( and correct me if im wrong )where disagreeing with the statement i made and continue to make..that when all is said and done..when all the politics of comparing what style is better then what..it really comes down to the individual...the martial artist and what he can do with his art......what you were trying to put into words was that while i study taekwondo i use other forms of fighting so i do advocate crosstraing of course..but that wasnt the original topic (TKD vs karate )and my answer always has and always will be that the martial artist makes his art work for him and that no one style stands out above the rest..they all have srentghs and weaknesses.... crosstraining helps to balance that out to get into such debates about style superiority is an excercise in futility...... _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-09 19:56 ] [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-09 19:57 ]
  17. okay angus if were talking about lifiting the "modesty barrier" okay then...i know that i can kick the heads off most people that step in and square off with me..no matter what style they practice but then that is my personal level of training wheter your a jiujitsu stylist... muay tai... kung fu or whatever..thats me..that does not however mean that my style of fighting is the best..but becuase I can do that does not mean i can ignore the advantages of other styles..or the right to put down other styles...i have been primarily a taekwondo stylist..but in my repritore over the years ive adapted to my personal style of fighting ..Hapkido...boxing and even jiujitsu to become a more rounded martial artist..bottom line is if i kick you the end result is definete....something is broken..thats what i specialize in..i dont "tag" i hit full force..i am famous for breaking heavy bags with the force i kick with...also for breaking objects.. both power and speed...that comes from years of vigorus practice..i dont half step ..i go all the way..in every aspect,,becuase i have this abilty does not mean korean martial arts are superior..just that with constant practice and disipline you will have the same kicking capabilty as me...and that is a result of my personal achievment..there are many taekwondoist that cannot kick with the same intensity or power that i can...at the same time there are plenty of boxers out there that can throw a upper cut or left jab much harder than i can..that is there forte..and if they catch me im going down...it all depends on squaring off who does what first,,you see what im saying?? so that is what i mean..you can throw senerios al day long and argue all day long whos better or whats better all day long but in the end its the individual that makes the difference..and i end with this..before bruce lee started the study of wing chun..it was considered a female martial art it was made fun of since it was created by a female martial artist...it wasnt manly or considered effective..well once he learned this art we all know what happened afterwards...it was his personal achievment that changed everything for wing chun afterwards....point made im done .and finally if we are talking about blunt and sharp knives...taekwondo kicking techniques are always cutting edge..thank you..modesty gone..and still humbly..javier _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-09 01:07 ] [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-09 01:32 ] [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-09 01:32 ]
  18. versus AGAIN?? taekwondo /shotokan ? we come back around to two words i always use to these types of questions..INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVMENT...thus it is the man who makes his art and not vica versa...as for taekwondo always being thought of for its kicks ..sure thats our department..this is were we excell but only the tip of the iceberg..shotokan a very strong form of karate ..both excellent arts..both having excellent practioners..then again even boxing has excellent warriors..but because it does not have kicks dosent mean it is not a formidable martial art..when it comes to hands it is one of the best...INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVMENT..what works for you
  19. okay iron lets see what the rest of team wants ..where are you guys???
  20. HELLO wheres my team at?....im waitin over here..where my dogs at?
  21. ROOTS OF THE TENANTS....during the silla dynasty in korea...the country was under constant harrasment by the japanese pirates..during this time a force of 50,000 soldiers was sent by king Gwanggataeto to protect the land..this is when Tae Kyon (mordern day taekwondo) was first intoroduced to the silla. those trained in taekyon became known as the HWARANG..this was to become the elite group of the silla.. the guiding priciples of the hwarang or "CODE" if you will was established by a buddist monk named Wonkang they were as follows...... be loyal to your country be obedient to your parents be trustworthy to your friends never retreat in battle never make an unjust kill these were the roots that became a way of life for the hwarang do ("the way of flowering manhood") which would develop over the centuries to modern day taekwon do and the 11 tenants
  22. great disscussion on this topic at kickboxing.com..at radio martial arts..by the people who are actually up there in the skies...
  23. I propose the name HWARANG for my team..these were ancinet korean warriors chosen from royalty during the silla dynasty..the korean equivalent to the chinese shaolin monks....or we could go something simple like THE YANKEES..lol just kidding ..let me know teamates.... TEAM one are you ready...TEAM two are you ready..THEN LETS GET IT ONNNN!!!!!! i hope that shihan is ready to master defeat!!! _________________ Javier l Rosario bayshore new york instructor taekwondo/hapkido "whenever youre lazy enough not to train .someone, somewhere is training very hard to kick your ass" [ This Message was edited by: taezee on 2001-11-08 08:30 ]
  24. thats the way it usally is..the real martial artist are the ones who seem laid back ..ouiet...they dont talk alot..they dont brag alot..they dont walk around saying "hey your style sucks" or "ive been in twenty street fights so i know what im talking about" they just stay quiet and when it comes time to demonstrate thier skills..they will leave you with your mouth hanging open..and humbled again..
