  1. whew..i thought you were going to start writing chapters...by the way brad pitt called he wants his movie plot back.....and as far as multiple attackers training goes practice running really fast becuase in real life multiple attackers do not wait thier turn to attack you like in the movies...some of you may say well thats chicken...why should i run,,im a big bad martial arts dude bring it on..nothing can kill a man faster in this life than his pride.
  2. hey im getting old but im aging very gracefully thanks to my martial arts practce..you wouldnt be able to tell..people at work think im 24 and im not arguing with them..im down with the current slang and everything so they cant tell..holla back yo ya smell me??? see that no old timers talk like this...im on the down low

  4. well from what i initially wrote"its sad but its true...
  5. break dancing..well you could consider me one of the pioneers, i was in a crew back from 1983 thats were my nickname comes from i was know as taezee..i would combine taekwondo with breakdancing moves ..its funny how this is making a comeback now....beat street all the way representing the old school hardcore both in martial arts and dancing...
  6. alot of that has to do with the spacing in between bricks or slabs..while he maybe breaking the first three or four the rest just collaspse with physics..now when you see someone do these types of breaks where the bricks or slabs are directly on top of one another you know not to piss this individual off...
  7. sing along (blame canada, blame canada...)from the song in the movie south park!!!

  9. just a reminder to those of you who train hard during the summer...keep the fluids coming..there have been a few instances of heat stroke at my school and you may have heard of the ravens football player that died suddenly last weak due to heat stroke..if its too hot like its been here in new york for the last week..take it down a notch..gatorade is your friend

  13. the ribs are so close to the surface of your body that ther really isnt any training you can do to make them more "tough" they are also very easy to break you just have to practice keeping your guard making sure you dont get hit hard there for even if they dont break the wind will be knocked out of you

  17. yeah ive been to alot of these types of clubs when i was in the service they were called officers clubs think about it 10 man to one woman ratio alot of alcohol and egos the size of russia mix it all together and you have deathmacthes every 3 minutes how do you think i know taekwondo works well??
  18. well this is another example of the "rape" of taekwondo...ever since its popularity has spread you have more and more black belts now why? it only takes an average of two years to aquire one now if you are ready or not..money makes the world go round my friends..i had posted about a month ago about some organization actually viewing video tapes of people preforming thier belt requirements mailing them to the kukkiwon including the nice fat money order and in 4 to 6 weeks presto your a black belt/master..americans are not patient or disciplined enough to achieve a ligitamte black belt(the majority) the mentality seems to be "please ill pay you just make me a black belt and i will feel so good about myself nevermind if i am actually good it just sounds good when i am at a party and i can say hey im a black belt isnt that sooo cool" belts did at one time mean something like back in 1979 when i first started i was in awe of the black belts back then ..these guys were no joke and you could tell just by watching them...it took six years of intensive training back then to get that belt..it was truly the proudest day of my life and i knew i was a real black belt nobody gave me nothing i had to fight hard and earn that right to wear that belt...today that privlige is not worth anything because of the commercial rush...ive lost track of how many "masters" i know and i cant even look students in the eye when they are promoted to 1st dan when i visit soom area schools to assit in promotion ceremonys..forget it the days of a belt having meaning are long gone..
  19. you dont sound like youre having fun..training is not a punishment but something you enjoy...maybe youre watching to many movies in which the hero trains 14 hours a day...you need to rest in between or you will burn out..make your routine fun...write down what you are going to train on for the week...and set realistic goals and treat yourself to something when you complete them......remember your training to make your life better not to be miserable there are so many other things in life that can do that(work, bills, girlfriend, inlaws lol) this should be your outlet train hard but enjoy
  20. yeah this is great workout music
  21. your welcome..anything else just ask...
  22. i love the old hyungs...they look good and feel good performing...i am not a big fan of the tae gae forms
  23. i know one thing that impresses me..breaking rocks like with a ridgehand on the floor..my grandmaster does this..his hands are so hard that when he shakes your hand you swear you hear a chrunching sound...for one demonstration he knocked a bull out unconsious as it was rushing at him..now thats a demo......how macho is that..i think i just felt my testostorone level skyrocket just thinking about it
  24. thats a contradiction about breaking bats with your shins not being a macho thing..around my way the only things bats are used for are baseball and collecting the "vig" on shady loans
  25. wow were going waaaaaaaaaaaay back, bill was always on of my favorites. to this day i still am trying to have the same control of legs that he has!
