i think the best thing to remember is that 99% of people feel like this so your not the only one iv even met people who i thought were so confident but when you ask them they are really shy and have the same worries. i know it sounds corny but just try to be your self and relax when you meet people for the first time ask them about them selfs its the easiest thing to talk about. sometimes i'll just tell people that i met for the first time that i was nervous going/starting a new club etc and people seem to be great after that because they will know how you feel because everyones been through it. If you feel confortable in your own skin then others will pick up on that and feel confortable around you and importantly remember to smile!!! hope that helps

ohh ochhh are you ok tho? touch wood iv never had any bad ones of yet just a couple of nasty looking brusies but while i used to dance i once hit my shin full force with my heavy shoe it was so painful i cant tell you and to this day (it was about 7 years ago) i still have a dent in my shin bone!! the other good i have had was falling in the playground and breaking the bone behind my knee and bursting the vain next too it had to be on crutches for nearly 4 months -
For me im lucky to have a good bus service where i live (i cant drive had a few mishaps when i was learning) and can get a bus to pretty much any where including where i train (although it not much fun waiting for a bus after training in the freezing cold for 40 mins ). As for flying its one of my biggest fears been on a plane quite a few times and hated it!! The worst was when i was working and had to go back and forth to Belfast by plane (take it from me i was not a happy bunny every monday morning!!)

oh sorry to hear that hope it feels better soon. Iv done that before too like everyone said rest and heatpacks help but another tip would be to roll a towel up and wrap it around your neck to act like a collar - it helped me. you sould be as right as rain in no time but if not maybe get it checked if it still sore in a couple of weeks

hey all On Saturday i had my first compatition. It was just the club one but none the less i had great fun and to top it all off i came 3rd in Kumite (adult womens class). It was great but at some points i was a bit puzzled by the scoring i.e i would make contact to the body with my kick but yet would not recieve a point. Later someone told me that you have to land 3 to the torso to recieve a point. so can anyone give me on some info on the scoring guidelines? thanks Karate Carolyn

yep thats the one!!! he was on channel 4 on weekend mornings. He would only say P o B. he was the coolest of all puppets from the 80's forget Roland Rat, Pob rules!!!
-
oh sorry to hear that did you try phoning the pub you where in or the taxis firm maybe someone handed it in?? I dont think its karma more a case of just plain bad luck. As for the coat thing i wouldn't have worried about it i used to work in a large department store and that sort of thing happened all the time. You may even get the shop assisstant in to bother if you went back if the mistake has'nt been noticed. The general role in shops (just my experience not saying thats its every place ) but it if its a honest mistake then once the customer leaves the shop then thats it, its the shops fault for not double checking. I really wouldnt worry too much about it (again just my findings not saying it gospel )

thanks again for all the replys they really helped Well the update is he made up with his mum and moved out, after a couple of days though we were getting back to normal (not in a relationship way) and i think we can be friends we were even able to laugh at what was said during the fight. i know it will be hard to stay friends but it will be worth it if we can Thanks again KarateC p.s Karate K - fingers crossed maybe 2007 will be better for both of us - if not then maybe we should start the worlds first MA dating agency lol!!!

maybe this is a british thing but i have Pob (kids tv puppet) the story was that he was trapped in peoples tvs and used to appear and blow on the screen and then write words. So i have him trying to get out of my screen (not in a scary way tho) Does anyone else remember pob??
