Hi.... I do not know what happens with Pa kua in other places of the world.. But here in Argentina there are some nasty thieves who teaches any crap but Pa kua , using it´s name. As far I know....it´s a Kung fu style that uses circular techniques , and seem to be good ( I asked to several Instructors ) but in my country..there are not Pakua instructors...so , what they teach is an invented crap ( using the martial art name ) A friend of mine....is a pseudo pakua student....and he pays about 500 bucks per month....and they told him he ´ll be an instructor before 1 year of practice.....That is a scum.....poor man.

Well , I do not like street fighting . But sometimes it´s necesary. I had about 5 fights.... When I was 13 years old , I did not use to look for a fight ( like now) but was always over-reacting ( I am not proud of that ) . At that time , after quirurgical operation and the rehab, I fought 2 gangster who were mocking at my Kung fu Uniform ( the gym was pretty close from my house..so went dressed).The guys were on that kind of ´´rapper , hardcore´´ bikes. I kicked the bike , and both guys went to the floor. I fought with both at the same time...and I got hitted on my left eye....nothing serius...But they did not go home without a souvenir:P At 16.....I was involved in a couple of fights defending tiny skinny classmate from morons..... Just a couple of hits to the idiots....nothing serius. At 18 in a disco , a (drunken) friend of mine insulted some gangsters...and started to figh ´em.... I went to help him...and reduced some guys....It was ok... But some hours after ....I was alone buying a beer when six guys ganged up and rounded me. I was inebriated at that time and in obvius inferiority of numers. But received a couple of hits in my head , when a Security guard (Hulk hogan look like) took me and sent me to some safe place in the builded.The problem was , that 20 armed guys were waiting for me at the disco´s door.. So...I called a cab...and run inside when it arrived. And....Still alive

Thank you for the answers. I got some experecience....but sometimes the hunter who follows two rabbits may have ther risk of catching no one..... The mix between all those styles can give you a big sight , but in some cases may confuse your technique........... I had some problems when coming back to kung fu...specially con the guard position , that is kinda different from boxing and kickboxing (for not mentioning wrestling).

Hello .Howdy ? My name Is Renzo D´Amore I am 21 years old , from the southest country of the world, Argentina. I am a law student , and also studing antrophology I also have been living at the Twin Cities ( Saint Paul) in U.S.A for a year. I found this web site very cool , and with a very calm ambient. People respect each other. And I am a guy who things that every martial art has its own shine , but some people like diamonds, other emeralds. In USA , I did some practice in ´´Folk´´ western Wrestrling .Previusly in my country , I practiced Kung fu from my 7 years old to 13 ., and western boxing when for a year . When I came back , took several months of kickboxing after boxing for 2 years again ( Including a couple of amateur fights. Now I am back in Kung fu , with my old Shifu. I wanted to return , hoping to find the peace of this ancient martial art.In my kwoon (dojo in jap´arts) , we learn the diferent sub styles inside shaolin , and choy lee fut , some hun gar and other stiyles... depending the experience of the guy. We were part of the Chin wan international, but the local Sikum , argued with Jerry lee ( the founder) , and separated . Lee wanted to reduce the teaching , something close to wing chun). So....now I am back to this martial art...And I am enjoying it... Sorry if my English is not the best . It´´s not my mother tongue.
