  1. I hope you get better, and don't feel guilty. I used to have Asthma too but fortunately it just went away as I did cardio. Perhaps today could be your breather.
  2. Great workout Toby, good technique training bushido! 1-23-07: 300 meter sprints x2 30lb dumbell curls 10 x5 Pressups 20x5 Decline situps 20x5 Benchpress 150lbs 8 x3 Skip rope 3 mins x 2 Protein shake afterward.
  3. Did some sparring, work on the heavybag, shadowboxing, and focus mits.
  4. I've always wanted to snowboard, too bad I live in Texas. 1-21-07 6 minute rope skipping, 1 minute break inbetween every 2 minutes. 50 burpees 150lb leg press, 10 reps x2 Hanging Leg Raises 12 reps x3 Half mile jog
  5. This is an excellent idea. 1-20-07 100 meter sprints x2 20 pressups x5 10 pullups x3 30lb dumbell curls, 10 x4 Half mile jog work on lower body tomorrow
  6. Anything with caramel and peanuts, typically PayDay.
  7. I'd have to say "Enter the Matrix" (not the Path of Neo) It's way too glitchy.
  8. Thanks for all the replies, they all helped. I didn't think I was over training. However, after getting back from the Docs a while ago, it seems that he thinks it's because a number of factors. Sleeping with my window open, as mentioned above by Fish, and the fact that my hair is short, not bald but nearly. He said it was a combination of the cold night air, and the top of my head being exposed and me losing body heat. I was a bit skeptical, but then I looked it up and he's most likely right. He said if that doesn't work come back. Only time will tell. Once again, thanks for all the replies.
  9. I would think that because majority of Humanity is right handed, or something along those lines. Good question though.
  10. As Bushidoman and Shotokan-Kez mentioned, there are good MA films with good fighting but bad acting. My example would be The Kumite. The Martial Arts is incredible, someone creates a mixed style of Thai Boxing, Hung-Gar, and Wing Chun kung fu, they enter a tournament, etc. but the cheesy love story ruins it, I bought it to watch some MA's...not romance.

    Karate

I think you'd have to ask someone who's trained in both. Fortunately I can say that it would depend a lot on the instructor. Also it should be noted that there are a lot of Karate styles, to name a few, Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, Kyokushin...the list goes on.
  12. This problem has occurred twice for me, it's when I really start training. I don't think I overdo it, aside from my Karate and Jujitsu training, at home I work out for 45 minutes a day, with at least 4 2 minute breaks in between. I usually do strength training 30 minutes and cardio 15. Is there something wrong with my training, because subsequently every time I get back into my best training routine, I get sick. This has happened twice and I don't know why, it could be a coincidence, but it happens. A fever, coldsweating. I usually recover in 3-4 days, but it is quite annoying. I'll probably ask a physician in the morning, just wondering if you guys had any insights. Should increase my Vitamin C intake or something? Is my immune system on edge? Really at a loss..
  13. I used to have a Linux, not a bad operating system for programming and stuff. Now windows.

    Life

I don't know about the saying "Money can't buy happiness"...I got a check yesterday for my part time job, I was pretty happy. (Excessive money like millionaires probably not, though)
  15. I'm a 1st Kyu currently, If I do well i''ll be getting mine in 2 months. So nearly 17.
  16. I think it's fine as long as you aren't bouncing. Make sure to drink water also. Sohan would be better qualified to answer this as he's a trainer though.
  17. Yes, and proof of this for you Tef, would be Georges St. Pierre, I think he has a 2nd Dan in Kyokushin Karate, Chuck Liddell trained in Koei-Kan Karate-do from the age of 12, and Karo Parisyan has been a Judoka from age 9, etc.
  18. Maybe you guys could do a joke article on the instructions to perform Dim Mak. This was very funny though.
  19. Falling Down is an excellent movie. Aside from that, these martial arts movies: (No particular order) Chinese Connection, Way of the Dragon, Return of the Dragon, Enter the Dragon, The Kumite, The Prodigal Son, Fighter in the Wind, Iron Monkey, Once upon a time in China, Drunken Master, Police Story, Fearless, Ong-Bak, The Protector, and Bloodsport.
  20. yeah I forgot to mention that. I only do slow kata-like movements.
  21. I just completed 100 in 9:51 Not as good as you , but i'll keep working on it. hopefully I can move tomorrow, ..this is borderline exhaustion. Good workout though. I'm only 16 so I should have some time to improve.
  22. These days it's relatively easy... But what the others said, confidence. If you think she won't like you, she probably won't.
  23. I've seen a PS3 in real life, the thing was as big as my old VCR..if not bigger. But yeah..costs a bit much for me. Wii gets my vote, mostly because Twilight Princess is awesome.
  24. I wish I was old enough to compete in this..
  25. bearich pretty much summed it all up. I'd just like to add that if you're feeling slower, you should do some weighted punches (hold dumbells), and ankle-weighted kicks. After at least 20 minutes of them on, once you take the weights off your speed seems incredibly faster.
