I would love to have the opportunity to learn Medieval European quarter-staff fighting.

That is a good article. I enjoy his honesty about his training.

That, you may very well do! The important thing, however, is that you enjoy the training that you do get to do, and that you keep doing it. -
I went back to lifting today, and I can feel it! Looking forward to tomorrow's workout as well! I will have TKD class tomorrow.

I remember that these two had quite a fight scene in the movie Gross Point Blank. Benny is one stocky dude. -
I order mine bigger, so that they fit my legs. Then, I have them hemmed up.

What Is Your Favorite Imitative Contrapuntal Form?
bushido_man96 replied to Sohan's topic in General Chat
Lack of experience or direct knowledge of a subject should never stop one from expressing a view on it. With respect, Sohan Good point. -
Ah, yes, there is that option as well.

Dropped as a child....that's golden! How did the break go? Did you break the board? It took a couple of goes I'll bet your heal was quite sore after that one! -
I would point to the tonfa as an example of a traditional MA weapon being incorporated into modern use. This weapon is being phased out of most police forces here due to the expense and time in training for it's use, but it was used for a long time. This is true, but now they are using the ASP more and more. Maybe some Kali/Escrima training would come in handy there??!!

I see, thanks for the link. I guess I would not be able to vote, becuase I don't have quite enough experience with it. -
Is anyone doing any home improvement projects?
bushido_man96 replied to bushido_man96's topic in General Chat
I would be pitching a gripe about that, if I were you. -

It is true that most children don't have a long attention span, but I think they can still retain material, after studying it for a while. Good points, there. Welcome to the Forums! -
This is a good point. The problem is that I don't think they realize that they are until it is too late. Personally, I don't think that the majority of people that are in business, no matter what the product, think like this. Sure, they are trying to make money, but I still think that many are still concerned about putting out a good product, so they get repeat business.

Lightsaber Sword Forms

A friend of mine who is kind of a Star Wars nut said that the lightsaber is actually equivalent to the weight of a longsword, or similar. They aren't just a weightless piece of light that can be slung like it weighs nothing. -
I hear what you are saying, Tom. You can stretch cold, you just won't be able to stretch as far, and it will be tougher to make gains. However, if you do work out hard a few times a week, and then stretch hard after those workouts, and then do the light stretching on the off days, you can still see some gains. That said, you could do some leg/footwork drills, some jumping jacks, etc., to get the blood pumping. When you stretch like this, though, don't try to go to your max stretch position; only go until you feel the mild discomfort. This should help you out.
