Oh yes, most definitly! I do Okinawan Karate, and every Friday we do nothing but grappling, take downs, and joint locks and breaks. :nod: :nod: :nod:

Why on earth would he even need to use Karate to defeat his wife? I wouldn't need a martial art to defeat a woman. If he had just slapped her, that would have been WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more than enough.

I need to get a heavy bag to improve preformance. I will be getting a freestanding, not hanging, because I think they give more realistic feel. I just need $40 more.

You get there buy clicking "training gear" after you have selected boxing. One of the subtitles at "training gear" is heavy bags. click freestanding and look at the selection.

Okinawan Karate has ALOT of grappling in it. These are not basic attacks, however. You learn them in the advanced kata's. They are not obvios, but you see kata's aplication if you use your noodle.

I don't like Karate becoming too much sport, but Tae kwon do, which I believe is a spin-off of Karate, is becoming too well known and will take over if Karate doesn't join the Olimpics.

Jiggy, If your in a hose/sumo stance, and I know my stances, but your facing your side, your in a side stance, or (depending on the angle) a back stance.
