yea i think its just a bad apple i know alot of MMA ppl some are jerks others are not just like life even in traditional arts there are ppl like that. alot of my MMA Friends are really into learning stuff in my art and in turn i ask about their art and learn we are all going towards the same goal but different paths....but u have me paranoid cause people bow to me and they are from another TMA i just pat them on the back make me think that they think i being rude cause for a traditional art my school doesnt do the whole traditional thing

I dont think the different types of fighter are St as u refered to and speed wat about ppl who are a combo of both and basically the reason of training is to work strategy into you body to do it at speed there are many different types of fighters wat about a boxer who trained to take damage and dish it back out or the grappeler who with take u to the ground, or a muy thai who are basically an all around striker or even a person who's stlye u cant read at all

yup like martial arts using a gun right needs training
-
lol u tell it how it is UseoForce i understand that if u are a black belt u are suppose to be responsible for yourself meaning u should know wat fights to get into and which fights not to get into (understandablelly) like i heard in Ny if u take a martial art any one u are considered a weapon and have to hold back but if its against a group of ppl or an armed person you are safe i may look like a chicken saying this but if a guy had a gun pointed at (happened before) i wouldnt fight unless i really had to.
-
well weapons are apart of of Martial arts especially the budo arts like it was mentioned before if you know how to use should be safe like i was told by an ex marine dont walk into a gun fight wth a knife dont go into a knife fight with out a gun
-
like martial arts if u see how guys in brazil train for soccer its insane we dont have as much drive same with the martial arts in the martial arts origin country they train on an insane level i may just be a cultural difference alto of schools in america dont train as and as much on a high level

DimMok
Anbu Alex replied to BlackWolf's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
I agree with Shui Tora Dim mak is Kyusho in my mind i think it was more of a mind trick where a person thinks they got hit harder than they really are and they just knew how to hit right in the right place (which may be the reason why some stlyes have certin fist) i wouldnt rely on Dim mak against a trained fighter cause they would be to responsive, when it comes to why dim mak isnt used in challenges honestly im not gonna get arrested for murder and just recived $100,000 please and if u are at that level then why compete to prove something you have nothing to prove -

i dont agree with that sport has rules and is a more controlled situation budo is ment for a life and death situation two different applications i do agree though that its up to the practitioner to make some thing either budo or to make it a sport
-
TKE fist of all i like your sig now to the question i agree with everyone you could try faking you are scared keeping you hands up in a hidden defense so u are ready for an attack if u are in a situation where u are going to be in a fight no matter what i say end it kick finish the opponent with the first move

i doubt Jet Li would ever go into mma nor would alot of ppl want him to from what i read in a Martial Mag that he's really into his budhisim practices he's more of a warrior scholar than fighter

Bandits were bandits just because someone sneaks around doesnt make them ninja thats like saying a cat bugular is a navy seal and its not just bujinkan, Jinenkan, or Genbukan think that other styles with nino elements agree and like i said be for translated ninja translates to one who survives shinobi means one who hides in stealth but that was a smaller part the stealth in the big picture
-
also i tend to think that it dependes on the enviorment

lol one of my instructors belts is sooo worn that its turning multi color at first i was like there is a rainbow belt but we were at a seminar one day and he was like hmmmm i think i should buy a new belt

I think that MMA is far more effective than traditional in things like Pride and ufc i would never test my art out personally cause i would lose saying that when it comes to the streets and self defense i think that it goes with what ever style works for some it traditional others its MMA if it helps you to aurvive thats all that counts "to each their own" some ppl on the streets are deadly with MMA others with traditional each person's body and mentality gose with a different art which i why i believe that there are so many different styles and concepts even ancient warriors in Asia use to mix and match their arts
