  1. im not trying to put you down but maybe its that you need to remeber the reason why you first got into martial arts and think about it. I agree with everyone here who says you may just be burned out take a break and think things out, me personally i keep at it cause the futher i get to the goal the more i realize that im really even further away i came to this cause i got promoted yesterday Please dont stop i feel bad when a Martial Artist stops training
  2. try streching your back by doing briges if you try the head kip ups try working out your neck
  3. You can also meditate while doing your techs by when performong them breath and keep you mind blank while doing them
  4. Streching also adds to speed and power (with legs atleast) also for punches practice the form slowely with wrist weights (so no to mess up the joints) and weight training with lighter weights more reps or (note this is really crazy but it works) throw slow punches with dumbbells SLOWLY
  5. just have an equal amount of both cause yes you can will your body to do things but if you havent worked out properly its pointless its good to develop both but certin ppl tends to lean to one side or the other it depends on you as on the whole
  6. My dojo was invited to a belt testing of a jujutsu school and we found out that the master also has a black belt with Karate and teaches it in her school also she encourages her students to take karate My point if yea can take both
  7. Endurance cause they push ppl hard in some kendo classes
  8. Boxers have rock hard abs stepping on stomach wont work unless you aim for the sterdum to knock the wind out of them.
  9. Sorry kivikala i didnt mean to sound harsh i was agreeing with you about the national treasure and was curious where that was said oh white warlock he recived the award for promoting peace thru taijutsu
  10. well i didnt mean to be as harsh with the perverted coment sorry but i also found his book enjoyable and his experiences were interesting to hear
  11. wait who said anything about national treasure wats does that even have to do with anything Hatsumi soke is very humble and would say he is a national tresure all i know is that he won awards in a bunch of different countries even from the FBI and the Pope
  12. ive read the book some of his stuff seems really outrageous (and perveted too) but his exercises do in fact help me to focus and relax better for training lol my teacher knows Glen Morris and says this guy loves to talk lol he left his training buddy there while he escaped lol
  13. Preassure points are just points that cause paint they are also points that controll the body and you dont have to hit them hard u have to hit them right when we do Dakenjutsu (and old japanese term for striking) we basically do pressure point fighting its just knowing where to hit and then training your self to hit there my sensei's say you have to create your own kyusho (pressure points) i mean the other day one of my friends threw a punch as a joke at me an i hit him wit a pressure point next day i left this blackish yellowish bruise on him lol he wont be doing that anytime soon
  14. call me crazy but this is what me and some friends do we stand fairly (i mean realllllly) close to each other and punch at full speed with the intent to kill and the other person evades EXCEPT anyone can throw the punch making it more spontaneous. another solution is to just spar and get hit a couple of times your body will afther awhile say screw this im moving next time
  15. All martial arts are deadly it depends on the person who uses it i faced a tai chi guy it was really hard stuff to fight off but i had the advantage of experience and better sparring skills so i won
  16. Ok im back first of all ninjas in fact did not go around calling themselves that. thats what the public at large called them second of all all martial arts have traditional value but people fail to realize that in the bujinkan at least stealth is applied in different way Hatsumi soke even said it himself that the art evovled with the times i mean he's a noted marks man 2. usining a sniper rifle is wwaaaaaaaay harder than you think and there are jobs where a weapon like that wouldnt work you forget that ancient japan had its own brand of snipers called ARCHERS which ninja's were historically good at 2 ninja's didnt were that all black suit in fact i read this book that said most samurai werent even that honorly they did the same gurrelia tactics ninja's did in fact most samurai were ninja or trained in the arts......i forgot wat i was going to say after that lol man it was good too
  17. Meditation for me keeps me 1 sane 2. it helps me relax and stay relax in any situation 3. i use it to help visualize techs and apply them to real situations
  18. OK this is getting heated people fail to realize that 90% of the people who supposely teach ninjitsu are fake cause 1 they just saw some of the techs and see that they have similar techs and add in stealth most of the time you are learning karate not ninjutsu 2 notice i have 2 ways of spelling ninjutsu ninjutsu is the way japanese say it ninjitsu god only knows where that came from
  19. Man if you poke a guys eyes good they wont be able to see much less target you unless their eyes are made of steel so i doubt that they if blinded can poke your eyes back the idea is to try a rip the eyes out
  20. man if i could there would be soooo many styles i would love to take right now stupid school, stupid body needing food and water
  21. wait u have to spin to do a backfist which style is that from i like to good old fashion jkd backfist or sucker punck maybe both togehter mwahahahaha
  22. Martial arts for me has given more confidence and a better outlook in life and that in turn has made my teachers in college think im smart boy will they ever be disappointed lol
  23. What? I'm going to have to call you out on that one...Spinning the bo is just to look fancy or maybe develop wrist strength?...whatever it is, it doesn't really have anything to do with what you would do in a fight. The sooner as people understand that, the better. against a trained fighter it doesnt work but alot of ppl when i sparred with them using bojutsu it kept me safe and when some tried to walk pass the spinning bo he got a nice scar basically it depends on who you r fighting i was taught how to use the spin to hide an attack or attack from the spin
