8th Kyu in Budo Taijutsu i think maybe higher (the kyu levels are green) i only been in this art for 9 months people say im progressing at a good pace Advance level in Jkd 1 dan Tkd

Bo spinning is mostly to keep the opponent away from you and to hide your attacks. i agree with Sauzin about bo fighting but also its about distance from your opponent hence its length

yea i got a scar from training for a demo lol and random scars on my fist but back to the post i think both could be effective it just depends on which of the two styles you feel you are suited best for and works for you cause you are the one who's gonna have to use it in a serious situation

Actually we do have a form of sparring in Budo Taijutsu but at first you have to go slow cause alot of the stuff is nasty but as you go higher in the ranks the sparrining gets faster cause you get better and you know how to counter or at least survive the nasty stuff trust me the other day i was sparring and almost got my head flattened lol good times

i think the weapon think dependes on the situation if u r fighting like 20 guy and destroy them using your martial art then it wont apply it only applyif you fight one guy and you keep hitting him after he is disabled then the law will attack with the weapon biz

I wouldnt suggest gong toe to toe with a boxer close range unless you try to grapple them i would keep a distance where he think he can get you but not quite. also try to make him drop his guard by faking you are going for the legs then when you hae the opening take the shot to the head or vice versa

they used fencing with sabers the foil is just for safety basically like kenjutsu is with the bokken ppl have a miscomception that europe only had the big Knight swords

yea i learned no handed kick ups from breakdancing i just took alot of practice i find it easy just to kick really hard it wll give you that momentum to pop up

Any style can be deadly its how you use it there are styles in kung fu that are very similar to KM both can be used effectivly for self defense

yea cause at one point kung fu was banned in china so they fled to other countries and started to teach in their respective countries

a friend of mine went to china and he studued choylufut and these guys were tyle and was training in a park in China in the same style so he went to see if he can join them some he ask and then they touched his muscles and said no because they would hurt them. Moral of the story is that just because you go there dosent me that youll definately learn the stuff cause the chinese take the martial arts seriously and some train everyday cause its their job and life most ppl are lucky who are forign to trai with asian masters in china
