cheapest steel would be alluminum alloy, followed by stainless and other alloys and then the most expensive would be carbon and folded steel, carbon can get to about 100$ but folded can get up to 100,000$ sometimes, folded and carbon rival each other in strenth though and yeah, use a soft cloth as to not scratch the blade, dont use a paper towel though, it might take the finish off, scratch it or leave more residue, try and use the cleanest softest cloth you have, if you have to buy one for that purpose, thats pretty much what i would do

if you realy want to wach it id wash it carefully by hand as to not damage it

ive studied a bit of ninjitsu but it was just books and stuff, no sifu -
depends on the steel the blade is made of... if its stainles you dont have anything to worry about if its corbon steel or anything else then youl have to worry about it no matter what, unless you get a sword maintanence kit, you can get them from something like budk, and, yes, im speaking from experiance here, my wakizashi is so rusted theres only about 20% of the normal surface left >.<

yeah, exactly, and what was a good outlet for me when my father died was just wailing out on something, usualy i would do it on a wall or a door but theres two reasons why i dont recomend that 1) it causes damage the the wall or door that you have to pay for and 2) it can slice your hand open pretty good or get some bruises at the least, i had 12 stitches once >.< so i would reccomend a punching bag, if you cant get one theres always a pillow, i did that a few times too
-
sounds prety cool to me
-
i dont know, i would say good but i dont realy know what good it can do, lol, i wouldnt worry about it

i have a rabbit farm, they arent too agrivating to me, scratches.... among other stuff... ahem... are to be expected because they have no way of knowing that we wont hurt them and they get scared sometimes, thats why you have to work with them alot, especialy if your going to show them, you have to make shure that they wont flip out seeing that many people at once, mostly we have meat rabbits like flemish giants and stuff, there literaly huge, my uncle just bought a purebread flemish giant, i think its won 2 something titles so it was worth it........ 75$ >.>..... anyway, i kinda like them but you cant get too attached cuz they have relativly short lifespans so... yeah
-
the most ive got is a small cut on my knuckle from messing arround with a katana while i was sitting down, i never had any injuries during practice.... besides that time i smacked my eye with the end of my staff during a transition like mattys over here >.

Do it yourself weapon making: Bo/jo/hanbo & bokken?
kiba no chi replied to Goldtooth's topic in Martial Arts Weapons
i had a bokken that i ordered before, it broke in a spar though so recently i made my own out of a big shovel, lol but ive had success with other things especialy a fiberglass axe handle >.> none of them have been curved so far but i guess they work all the same, i dunno, whatever works i guess and for a bo staff i use a big stick of 1/4 inch thick pvc pipe it works pretty good actualy, you get flexibility but its kinda fragile if you hit anything with it, works for practicing for competitions though ^_^ -
blame my mom, i made her do the division , hahaha
